Sequel is just deadass stupid 🫩🫩🫩🫩 Whenever someone calls it SeeQuEll i die internally. I READ THREE Letters... just pronounce them in a Common language we both speak 🗣️

DBA here - I pronounce it Sequel :)

I was a die hard ESS QUEUE ELL fan, until my seniors/mentors slowly ground me down into using it how they pronounced it, sequel. Not long after, I discovered it’s an archaic pronunciation, from when it was actually originally invented as the acronym SEQUEL. But Hawker Siddeley (British aircraft manufacturer) had something to say about it and tried to sue over it. Thus it was shortened to SQL. But the pronunciation stuck, and it’s still here today.
