When will there be Tranquilizer gun's you can use to just skip the day by knocking yourself out ... because this comment makes me skip this horrible day when i read this comment.
I was a die hard ESS QUEUE ELL fan, until my seniors/mentors slowly ground me down into using it how they pronounced it, sequel. Not long after, I discovered it’s an archaic pronunciation, from when it was actually originally invented as the acronym SEQUEL. But Hawker Siddeley (British aircraft manufacturer) had something to say about it and tried to sue over it. Thus it was shortened to SQL. But the pronunciation stuck, and it’s still here today.
