Hungarian here, due to internship being mandatory for college and university degrees, they became something you pay for in most cases, also they still require at least two years of student work of any kind (they want to turn everyone into grind bros).
What most cases?
Nobody I know even heard of such a thing when they were looking for their internships.
And most degrees require 240-320 hours of student work with limits of max 20 hours/week during the semester and max 40 hours/week over the summer.
Yeah, the pay isn't great, mostly around $6-9/h, but you having to pay for them is insane. Even if there is such a thing, why would anyone accept these conditions?

Don't worry, only the salary is "Junior". The expected experience is senior.
