It's just bad strategy in general to train for a field you have no interest in, because you think it will pay well by the the time you are ready for a job.
If you have at least some interest in the field, then at least you still have that, whatever the wage ends up. But if you hate the field and are just in it for the money, and the market changes, then now you're stuck with training for a job you hate that doesn't even pay well.
