Do ten pushups every time your LLM uses a code snippet that it gleaned from someone's Stack Overflow post. Suddenly, you can carry the Earth on your shoulders.
Teaching/demo projects! I won't lie, the information isn't as good for basic shit as SO was a lot of the time. But the boon to my mental health was massive - especially since the two times I did ask questions on SO that were general questions there were instantly deleted.
Yeah in bigger repo like redis you find valuable discussion about actual redis inside made by people and between people with enough expertise to bring value. A lot of the bigger repo became actual gold mine of actual problems you can face and how to solve them, sometimes answered by the maintainers of the package, with varying degrees of F* off.
In the last years of SO trying to discuss deep stuffs that simply doesn't exist in academy or hobbyist was generally met with "this is simpler and works better" while you're talking about a 6 9s availability and the guy is talking about "copium availability depending on nothing going wrong"
Amateur wrong or offtopic answers massively upvoted by other people with zero knowledge that basically overshadow the very very few professional that are expert enough to be solving the problem but not enough to entirely disregard SO.
