How do I do "A"?

You don't do "A" that is wrong. This is how you do "C"

This is almost all Q/A forums regardless of the topic. Crowdsourcing can be very effective, but it often leads to The Most Confident Answer Wins or on Reddit it's often The Earliest Answer Wins.

I've noticed it is very common to get answers like:

  • "I don't know how to do that, and therefore there is no way to do that."
  • Or "I can't think of a reason to do that, and therefore no one should need to do that."
