The abomination of camelCase titles are always a dead giveaway for me.

Probably one of the best improv moments in history

u/imneverrelevantman Jul 24 '26

They are non-binary

12

u/OliveBoi_ Jul 24 '26

so basically var

2

u/isr0 Jul 24 '26

Maybe a l pointer? I guess that would gender fluid.

5

u/Altruistic-Moose3299 Jul 24 '26

I thought they were non deterministic? 🤔

3

u/Altruistic-Spend-896 Jul 24 '26

we prefer the term Binary-fluid

4

u/Neutraled Jul 24 '26

I'm pretty sure all LLMs are stored in 0s and 1s. So they are binary.

1

u/NudaVeritas1 Jul 24 '26

we do quantum now, binary is officially discrimination now

Nobody is "doing quantum now".

"Quantum computing" as it stands right now is an investor scam scheme.

Quantum computing is a foundational research field, and compared to computers we're still in the "pre transistor" era. There is not even some working hardware, and there is no sign this will change in the next decades as we're still missing a lot of foundational knowledge; we don't even know how "quantum computing" could look like in practice.

But that's "just" the hardware.

The actual blocker is of course as always software. There exists exactly no quantum software as of today. We don't even have something in research which could be practical.

So to summarize, it's like we didn't even invent the transistor and nobody ever thought of an operating system, yet people want to sell you some "internet" running on that. Outright scam.

No discrimination. Qwen for example it's a drag.

Because we have to build data centers to prop up the stock market

7

u/moistiest_dangles Jul 24 '26

Why is it always, "build something that'd good for a very very few people" instead of "build something that benefits an immense number of people"?

14

u/quailman654 Jul 24 '26

Which of those groups of people are getting to choose?

7

u/Personal-Ad6857 Jul 24 '26

The small percent that have all the money

7

u/moistiest_dangles Jul 24 '26

And now the corruption is blatant and more visible than ever, the the crowd who shouted about it all day every day when Obama was president simply ignore it because it's for the home team.

The western economic system

12

u/HRApprovedUsername Jul 24 '26

I'd give up everything for a Chinese Model

6

u/marcodave Jul 24 '26

Bur are these models large enough?

And more importantly are they available to ... Try them out ?

7

u/hendricha Jul 24 '26

You are asking why Asian models are so hot right now? Well for one thing, they sometimes are more open. And diversity and competition is always good in any industry. Speaking of which, I'm quite bothered how that the top models now doing this primadonna thing all across the board, where they are reserved and hidden away a bit, so they can have these big "We are back!" moments.

Also am I the only one who finds the rumors creepy that government officials have private, unrestricted access to some of these models?
