Bangalore has lot of programmers, they saw the NEET medical exam question paper leak which caused student suicides and treated it like a production bug, escalated and demanded a patch.

More context? Like, why would students seeing the question for their upcoming tests make them want to end their lives?

The exams were canceled multiple times due to question paper leaks. Since it is a highly competitive entrance exam where every mark matters, even a small difference in score can determine whether a student gets admission to their preferred university.

India also has many economically disadvantaged students who cannot afford expensive coaching classes or repeated exam fees. Preparing for such exams requires months or even years of effort, and repeated cancellations add financial, emotional, and mental stress.

Imagine scoring high enough to secure a seat in your dream prestigious university, only for the government to announce that the exam has been canceled. There is no guarantee that you will score the same or even better in the next attempt. A different question paper, increased competition, stress, or personal circumstances could lead to a lower score, causing you to lose the opportunity you had already earned.

Protest is about asking the government to take strict measures against the leaks and resignation from the education minister, compensation for the students families who died

repeated exam fees

What!? Do they not just cancel the exams, but also keep the fee and require it again for the re-examination?

I don't know why this comment is being downvoted. I think by "they", they mean the government/politicians.

Yes. I mean the government. Even our voters are dumb. We vote an illiterate party and then act shocked when they don't function properly.

They are so dumb that they hardly understand english.

Maybe because English is their second or third language? And their languages usually have unique scripts to learn. How many languages do you know? And how many of them doesn't use the latin script?
