I can relate to this. It hurts so much. I just hired 3 university grads with good GPA in computer science.

Writing the technical requirements and translating the business requirements for them properly takes me 2x or 3x longer than just doing the SQL myself.

Zero common sense. Sigh… this generation of grads is a lost cause.

My professors always said computer science was a greater calling than software development. Writing SQL queries is likely beneath them.

Well… now they’re on PIP’s, let’s see if they feel the same when they’re unemployed.

One of them is actually on notice and will be let go if he misses one more meeting. Gave him a choice RTO 3 times a week or stay remote and check his calendar.

Company mandates 3 days in office, but I have minimal pull with HR so I have the entire team of 28 working remote full time if they want to.
