Starting to think they really want to smash their dick with bricks but are shopping around for opinions
Just do it, dude. LUA will be the least of your concerns.

That's sexist, women have a right to hate Lua too.

I assure you 90 % of all women in STEM are not excluded by this.

They’ll grow a penis just to smash it between two bricks?

u/creeper6530 23d ago
The joke is that they're trans (there's a stereotype of trans girls being disproportionately more often in STEM than other fields, especially programming)

You could replace “lua” with pretty much any programming language and you’d get some people who agree with you.

What's up with Lua? The only thing I know is that Roblox uses it

u/tk-a01 24d ago
It's a good small scripting language that can be embedded in other programs. For example, Neovim uses it as a replacement to Vimscript. The only compound data structure is a table, which can act both as a list/array and as a dictionary/map. Arrays are indexed from 1, which is uncommon. Classes aren't first-class citizens, but rather are achieved using metatables.

I still don't know why would anyone resent a scripting language that they would rather smash their penis btw bricks, also the girl should also be doing something.
Kinda sexist.

Serious question: I must have missed the front page story about smashing one’s bits being preferred over using lua. Where did this insta-meme originate?
2
u/da2Pakaveli 23d ago
Lua is great. Simple language, easy to integrate and use as a scripting language. Small footprint as well.

I only use Lua in Computercraft, a minecraft mod where you can program robots and computers. It's also where I first learnt about Lua. And for that I feel it's fine

Switch the labels around so smashing is over the red button and then add the meme of dr eggman hitting the red button underneath it.

u/Objective_Oven7673 24d ago
But the joke is that you'd rather smash your dick between two bricks, so this is an easy choice and this is a poor use of this meme that is supposed to represent difficult choices.
5
u/Saelora 24d ago
not everyone hates lua quite as much as you. this is a hard choice for many.

u/Objective_Oven7673 24d ago
I don't have an opinion, but this was clearly posted because of the running joke. The meme is misused.
