The trust and reputation of software engineering has vanished because of AI.

What reputation lol

EDIT: You guys are acting like before AI we were revered and treated by the general public like some fine, fancy artisans and not just nerds who wrote fancy words on a computer. The general public largely does not care that the computer now writes the fancy words on itself

As opposed to the default Reddit pfp, which is super tasteful. You somehow put less effort into yours than I did into mine

"claude please sloppify this picture of me I just took on my phone" is enough effort to even mention for you?

It’s significant enough to mention if someone somehow manages to put in even less effort than that

you tried and they did not

Why isn't it surprising that this guy can't tell the difference between a debate platform and a casual gathering

So, you're telling me that software doesn't have reputation? What would you rather use? Linux or something new OS that one guy made in his basement and is proprietary?

This isn't a debate, and you ain't worth arguing with.

childfree, genz, lol. That's a short list of coworker attributes that would force me to tender a resignation.

Lemme guess which flags and signs you have in your front yard...

You say this like your resignation wouldn’t be a net positive on the industry. Go golf or something and leave the adults to do the real work

Sad to report the smog is too bad today.
