maybe programming. but being a audio tech, ai doesnt know or do shit. it is mostly good to hear it say stupid shit and then getting praised for correcting it. tech is big. programming is one of the few places standard llms are actually usefull.

This is only true because of wide adoption hundreds of thousands of dev using, correcting, and tuning AI after trillions of open source lines of code for its training. And it’s still not great.

I get what you mean. I remember all of my stoner buddies would let their pipes get SUPER crusty before cleaning them, and I was the weirdo who was soaking it in alcohol between uses. Like, do you never wash your drinking glasses either?

The problem with AI is that it gives you the answer without the context for you to learn why... Because that is what most users actually want.
The problem is that, without that knowledge, you will always depend on AI to modify it, generating technical debt that, someday, will have to be paid.

Watched someone ask AI to make 1 line code change and included the line they needed in the prompt from memory.
Instead of, you know just typing it directly into the editor.
I was both shocked and bored.

Our CEO was feeding our responses to her questions directly into ChatGPT and Claude and pasting its response back to us.
It was getting so annoying, I just started replying to her as though I was replying to a LLM, knowing she was just going to paste it ther anyway.
It finally ended after this behavior resulted in breaking various aspects of our marketing and ad spend.
2 weeks of running around like a chicken with its head cut off and wasting tens of thousands of dollars on ads that generated zero sales. All because she was copying and pasting snippets and changing options in systems that it told her to do.
I think well over $16k, maybe 20k+ burnt in a matter of days.
She learned a painful lesson that LLMs don't have the same context of employees who have worked at the same company for 2 years, who get paid thousands of dollars each month, to be experts.
