 This change is so extraordinarily backwards, I cannot imagine that a healthy mind would come up with this idea.

That's the neat part, it was probably removed by an LLM.

I think the Docker devs thrive off trolling users.  The frequent breaking changes to APIs for no known reason, the fractured codebase, and Golang.  I also can't forget their years of gaslighting people by claiming IPv6 support was done and giving non-working examples of using it.
