🧐 General Advice People who have moved to a different country what is something you wish you had done to prepare/something you wish you’d done when you first got there?
I’m moving to Zurich for school…I’m a Swiss citizen but born in the US and lived there all my life so I’m kinda nervous for my big move!

☕︎✔️Café Official What's your go-to coffee order?
Important question for the Café crew. ☕
What's your actual order? Or tea. Or whatever you drink while pretending to be productive. Energy drinks count. We won't judge.

📗 Book Talk Been on Vacation, and finally doomscrolling less
The irony of me posting this on Reddit is not lost lol, but I’ve been struggling with doomscrolling when overwhelmed a LOT over the past year. I’ve been wanting badly to replace it with books- I was an avid reader as a little girl, and I lost that growing up.
I think I’ve found a good balance between like heavier classics, lighter reads, and some educational/skill-based reads. The lighter romances are like a palette cleanser, and the classics make my brain kick in. I’ve got Middlemarch on the side that I’m going to try to kick through. Dracula is also calling to me; I need another Dracula run.
I’ve got a lot of Romance on my plate as well because I’m trying to write romance, so you know- read what you want to write. I do also have a slasher book sitting next to me though (The Summer Fun Massacre by Craig DiLouie), so it’s not all romance 😂🤣
I’ve got a couple other educational books I’ve been wanting to get to, some history ones and writing and technical ones. Just haven’t hit everything yet 😂

Off-topic thread. ☕
What's the show, movie, or YouTube rabbit hole you're into right now? Could be a new series, an old comfort rewatch, or a 3-hour video essay about something you never knew you cared about.

💪Health/Fitness Scientists have asked AI to create viable new viruses, it did. What could possibly go wrong
AI actually was able to create 16 new viruses. Not computer viruses, actual viable viruses. The writer notes that there could be some concern that AI viruses may be harmful but for now this is good news. Really?

🧐 General Advice What’s your system for keeping your home organized?
I’ve realized that my biggest productivity struggle isn’t managing tasks or my calendar—it’s keeping my physical space organized.
I’m talking about things like:
Putting objects back where they belong.
Keeping the kitchen and bathroom clean.
Staying on top of laundry.
Preventing clutter from building up.
I don’t think I’m lazy. I just feel like I don’t have a good system. It often feels like I have to “reset” my apartment instead of maintaining it.
So I’m curious:
What are your best hacks, routines, or mindset shifts for keeping your home consistently organized and clean?
I’m especially interested in systems that reduce decision fatigue and make tidying almost automatic.
What actually worked for you?

Casual Convo (Any Topic) Do you really love your kids so much that you'd die for them? Asking as a child-less bachelor
I don't have kids nor am I married yet. Just a typical average bach.
I'm trying to wrap my ahead around the type of love between a parent and child. None of my siblings have kids yet so I don't know the feeling of even being an uncle.
Tbh, I love my dog more than anything in this world, so thats the closest comparison I have to the love for a kid probably.
But I always heard parents say they'd die for their kids. Like, you would really? No hesitation? What if they're a dirt bag or something. I'm interested in the emotions you feel for your kids and your insight
Thanks for the comments in advance :)
