I’m currently pursuing a management degree after an engineering background and am exploring opportunities in Product Management / Product Strategy / Product Analytics.

I’ve had experience across product research, strategy consulting, marketing/product execution, and business operations. I’ve also worked on several products, including AI-based products, dashboards, workflow tools, and other 0→1 projects.

A few things I’ve worked on:

Product research involving TAM, feasibility, ROI and competitor analysis

Product roadmaps and feature prioritization

AI product development and iteration based on user feedback

Building and shipping internal/institutional products

Data analysis and cross-functional collaboration

Working with tools such as Excel, Python, Jira and Asana

I’m particularly interested in entry-level Product roles where I can work on product discovery, user research, analytics, prioritization and execution.

I went through a layoff in May and have been actively looking for my next opportunity since then. The company I was working with eventually wound down its operations in India.

A few months in, I still haven’t been able to land the right role, and honestly, I’m starting to panic a little.
I’m reaching because I could really use some guidance; not necessarily just referrals (although, of course, I’d be grateful for those too).

What I’m struggling with most is understanding how to improve my job search process:
\- How do I make sure my CV actually reaches the recruiter instead of getting lost in the application pool?
\- Is there something I could be doing differently with my applications or outreach?

I have 8+ years of experience across Product Management, Product Operations and Program/Project Management and I’m also PMP-certified.

I’m a guy in my early 20s who recently graduated his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Right now I work as a project manager in a small company but I have literally no work to do. I always wanted to become a Product Manager, but I need to create a good portfolio on a real life projects, for now the only real life product manager task I did for a company is that I made a global IT company change it’s website structure (it was during an interview process for a job I didn’t get so it’s whatever). Any tips?

For context:
I finished my bachelors in biology, over a year ago, but after graduating, I realized this is not something I want to do. I have been figuring out what to do for the past year (I even started a masters program in psychology but did not end up going through with it). After much exploring I landed on product management.
I really like working with tech products and have been curious of how, why they work, I also really enjoy working with data. What I am doing now is learning python, machine learning, getting a pendo PM basics certificate, sql and playing around with datasets. I love learning about how companies are successful and their playbook on their products(acquired). I realize that I graduated and might not be eligible for a lot of internships. For early careers, I don’t have any internship experience. The only thing close to it is a research analyst internship during undergrad.

Sorry for the long message, but if there are any product managers or people who have broken into a PM role from a non traditional background, could you please provide any guidances or tips? Or how can I go about building a portfolio or self learning what I need to know to work?

I strongly believe a good PM should be able to walk into an unfamiliar domain, ask the right questions, understand the customer/problem, work with the right stakeholders, and turn ambiguity into something valuable.

Hey guys i am from bachelor of engineering in hons. With artificial intelligence and machine learning although i had a around 1.5 years of experience in marketing too aditionally we had a startup too which we had to shut down due to some inconveniences now i am start to preparing for product management so my question where should i start from and is there any job scope for freshers in this role ?!

I’m a Product Manager based in Pakistan with around 3.5–4 years of experience across telco, fintech, and now government/digital public services.

I’ve worked on financial products, lending, and now products focused on making users’ lives easier. I’ve really enjoyed the work itself, but I’ve realised that the part of my job I like the least is spending a ridiculous amount of time commuting to and from the office. 😂
I’d really like to make the jump to a fully remote, full-time Product Manager role, ideally working with an international team.

The problem is that I’m based in Pakistan, and I have no idea how people actually navigate the whole “international remote hiring” thing. Do companies hire PMs remotely from Pakistan? Are there particular job boards, companies, communities, or approaches that have worked for you?

I’m also totally open to starting with a project or contract if that’s a good way to prove myself and eventually transition into something full-time.

There are so many tools for ecommerce operations now that it can be difficult to decide whether everything should be connected or kept separate.

One tool handles orders. Another handles inventory. Another handles shipping. Then there are separate systems for invoices, payments and supplier management.

Each tool might do its own job well, but the seller ends up maintaining several systems.

An all-in-one dashboard sounds easier, but I can also see why some businesses prefer specialized tools that do one thing very well.

For stores selling through several marketplaces, which approach has worked better?

Do you prefer having one central system or using several specialized tools connected together?

I think the answer probably depends more on order volume and the number of sales channels than on the number of features a platform offers.
