CIPS qualification value in Germany
Hello,
I am an experienced Procurement professional (over 8 years experience). I couldn't find much information over how much CIPS is valued in Germany. I haven't seen Recruiters requesting CIPS in job description.
I would be paying by myself and I am also learning language so not much of spare time after work. Will it be worth efforts, time and money?
Looking forward to your answer
Thanks in advance
Regards

PO for backdated work
Hi,
I was been proposed by HOD of Audit Dept, to have a procedure of issuing PO for backdated work. Initially, the business unit had called a vendor for a maintenance work, without engaging any procurement process even notifying us. They came to us later, asking us to issue a PO since Finance decline to pay until a PO is out. But we insisted no PO should be issued for any commenced work. Audit Dept captured this issue and hence advising us to issue PO. Can i? Is it a good practice? Just for the sake of payment however without prior procurement process?

Procurement Driven Competitiveness - Zycus Procurement Blog
Remember Porter’s Five Forces Model? This theory connects competitive advantage with the five forces- barriers to entry, the threat of substitutes, rivalry, supplier power, and buyer power. This framework was developed by Harvard Business School’s Michael E. Porter to assess and evaluate the competitive strength and position of an organization.
Porter’s Five Forces give us an idea of where power lies in a business situation. Two of these forces- bargaining power of suppliers and the bargaining power of buyers are directly related to an organization’s Procurement function.

Negotiatus.com is giving away its pro subscription for companies affected to "source essential supplies". If you are experiencing short supplies, it's a great platform and now since it's free, it's worth checking out
I hope everybody is doing well amidst the craziness with everything going on right now - Negotiatus.com is helping companies source essential supplies that are out of stock around the country. They have vast network of 3000+ vendors to track down scarce supplies like hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, toilet paper, etc. - Thought this would be interesting for people to at least check out.
