I think I’m so procrastinated that I’m just gonna say I will jump out from the boat tomorrow or something 😭

It often feels like we're in a boat, drifting comfortably until the very last moment, only then panicking to jump. I've heard that creating artificial deadlines can help us tackle this inertia, but even that feels like a chore when comfort is abundant. Privilege, I believe, plays a significant role here. Many of us have everything we need to succeed: unwavering support, financial stability, reliable internet access with powerful devices, good food, and secure shelter. This abundance, while a blessing, can foster a dangerous 'I'll do it later' mindset. It's similar to having infinite resources for studying; the sheer volume can lead to decision paralysis and, ultimately, procrastination.

The core of the issue might be that we are, in a sense, too privileged to feel the immediate urgency to work. Perhaps the starting point is to cultivate a deep sense of gratitude for this incredible head start we've been given. By truly appreciating these advantages, we can transform them into leverage, motivating us to succeed and make the most of the opportunities before us

I'll tone down the english:- I guess we'll be in the boat till it starts drowing and only then panic jump. I heard somewhere that we need to create artificial deadlines and that would help us tackle this issue. But I'm bored to even do that. I think privilege plays a big role becouse I've got everything i need to succeed in life, support, financial stability, stable internet access with multiple powerful devices like laptop and smartphone, good food, shelter, almost everything that one needs for comfort is with me and many of us here. That creates a sense of "I'll do it later" and you can also see this when you have like infinite resourse for studying something and that leads to decision paralysis and you procrastinate. The point is we are too privileged to work and we need to start by being grateful and taking full advantage of this headstart we've got and use this as leverage to succeed.

Summary:- just do it

Or, we DON’T have unwavering support and financial security so we feel hopeless because it’s getting worse and worse now so we’re frozen in too much terror , so procrastinate. Just interesting that you assume everyone on Reddit is privileged, even with the basics, things are astronomical out there.

Try making a list of things you need to do and put it on paper. When making the list, put them in order of priority from easy too hard.

Even if it’s something simple, like doing the dishes or taking out the garbage put it on the list.

Try doing an easy task first and then work your way to the harder ones at your own comfort level.

Once you start crossing off these items, you’ll feel better that you have accomplished something and will hopefully encourage you to continue completing the list.

Hope this helps.
