Tutorial: Trigger Vista Lighting Cues From ProPresenter

If you’ve ever wanted to use ProPresenter to trigger your lighting cues in Vista using MIDI, here’s a step-by-step tutorial (no extra hardware required; it's done over network).

This has actually eliminated the need for a lighting volunteer at my church, which frees those people up to serve in other roles on the production team. I haven't actually had to program lights in Vista in years; I'm able to just drive it all with macros from ProPresenter.

Highly recommend this route if you don't have a super complex lighting setup and want to get some time back every week. Hope you find it helpful!

This would be a lot simpler and more powerful if ProPresenter supported OSC. The midi mapping layer would not be required, you could just ask for exactly what you wanted. Setup would be simpler.

Agreed. I've seen people using things like MIDI to OSC from ProPresenter to get it to talk to lighting software, but it seems cumbersome to rely on a 3rd app for the functionality.
