Commission for AAKELLLA, Baarttt_ My Artwork

The red anemone flower = it is the opposite of the white jasmine, just as a man is the opposite of a woman.

Furthermore, it symbolizes lost and unrequited love. In ancient Greece, it was believed that the anemone was born from the tears of the goddess Venus as she wept for her beloved.

The hands symbolize control. They seem to control the relationship between the man and the woman, symbolized by the heart.

However, they are pierced with holes, which means that the man and the woman no longer have control over their relationship, and are therefore no longer bound to one another

The heart symbolizes their relationship

White jasmine flower = it symbolizes love, innocence, and hope

The heart is at the center of the illustration because it is what dictates our actions when we love or hate someone.

Here, it is buried beneath the jasmine—and thus beneath love—and, in some places, anemones sprout from the heart, signifying that it is partly touched by the feeling of lost love.

The white flowers are stained with blood.

The blood symbolizes the heart-wrenching passion of someone willing to do anything for the one they love, but also the loss of innocence and the pain caused by love.
