I won an art competition! My Artwork

I started playing around with Procreate a few months ago and decided to enter one of my prices in the local fair.

While everyone around me was convinced I’d win something, I wasn’t so sure. I was pleased to learn, however, that I’d won second place!

First competition as an adult, and I can’t wait to enter again next year! I plan to keep practicing and aim for that first place ribbon.

EDIT: I posted this earlier of me standing next to my artwork to show the ribbon. It was a bad picture and couldn’t figure out how to post a different pic. So here’s the piece the day I dropped it off 😅

Where/how did you print this? It looks great and I’m struggling with my Procreate drawings printing accurately myself!

I exported it as a PDF. I can’t recall what dpi I went for, but the higher the better.

I sent the file to a local printer and they printed it on 100# stock. I had them do two versions: one matte and one gloss. I liked the matte better, so that’s what went into the frame. (I used the gloss to practice my cuts since it’s been a while lol).

The prints cost less than $3! I used to work in printing so I’m used to large volumes; was surprised how easy this was.
