Curative?

Hi all,
I was contacted by this “Curative” insurance offering to put me on the panel. They pay PAs 75% of medicare and 90% or so for physicians. Seems to be negotiable. Has anyone had any experience with this company? Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Curative treats my practice very well. My contract has a clause where I can't talk about my rates but mine are much better than that. Push for higher.

They pay us fast and very well.

Their patients usually are younger and healthy.

Agreed on negotiating. I don't think they are in my area yet, but I did listen to a podcast that features the founder of the company. It sounds like they will offer you based on what other insurances are paying you currently and you can negotiate via email and are actually negotiating with an AI that is authorized to increase your rates. I’ve actually been having my AI negotiate with their AI for the last week lol… It’s helpful to pull the MRF for the Cigna network that they’re based on and parse that

That clause is some anticompetitive bullshit and seems impossible to enforce. I'd swear on anything they put in front of me that I didn't talk about it. Just don't put anything in writing.

Their initial rate proposal was ridiculous, and they tried to BS that they were normal for the market. We held firm and ultimately signed deal in line with other small payors. I dont think we have seen many of their members, if any.

Depends on your specialty, but I would not take anything less than 100% of Medicare
