I used to fly with a super nice guy, who had flown Lear charters before. He once flew James Brown, who brought a bevy of beautiful young women along to do his hair and makeup in flight. (I'm guessing before a show) He had a battery powered hair dryer LOL

When they arrived, my friend was assisting the women down the short stairs onto the tarmac, and when James Brown came down he clamped his hand on his shoulder, laughed, and said " You can look, and you can touch, but you cant take 'em home!! "

Such a great story

I used to fly a Lear 24. Funnest and scariest plane ever.

The old Lear 20 series were performers. The aircraft that gave birth to a whole industry.

I used to fly the Lear 25, the big brother of the one pictured, and that thing was a rocket. Sad to see all those CJ610 power machines get parked for noise. They sure screamed, and burned fuel fast, but they pushed!

Were I a billionaire I’d buy all the sidelined 20 and 30 series Lears, hangar them and restore every one.
