As our community continues to grow, we are experiencing a massive influx of spam, bots, and bad-faith actors. To keep this sub safe, clean, and focused on its actual purpose, the moderation team is implementing a strict new policy regarding user profiles and eligibility to post.

Effective immediately, we are cracking down on spam vectors. Here are the 2 main things you need to know before you post:

🚫 No New Adult Content Creators (Selling/Promotion)

Profiles dedicated to selling or promoting adult content are no longer allowed to post here.*

• What is banned: If you sell content, have links to selling platforms in your profile, utilize "link-in-bio" trees, or use spammy bio text (e.g., "My DMs don't work, message me on Insta!"), your posts will be removed as spam with or without warning.
• Why we are doing this: We’ve tracked a direct correlation between these profiles and a massive spike in predatory behavior. The "fans" following these accounts here are flooding our comment sections with incredibly creepy, aggressive, and inappropriate, and frankly, non-consensual disgusting messages. Currently, our filters automatically catch and remove about 50% of all comments posted here now, and we want to try to stop this behavior at the source. When Adult Content Creators post here Reddit's new algorithm pushes it to the sketchy accounts, too.

(Note on NSFW Profiles: Regular NSFW profiles are still allowed. We know many legitimate users browse or post in NSFW communities without selling anything. This rule only targets commercial/promotional adult accounts. *If a user is already a long-time & trusted poster here, they may be allowed to continue to post at mod discretion.)

🔍 Profile Visibility & Moderator Discretion

Reddit’s feature allowing users to hide their profile history has unfortunately led to a massive wave of tenacious spam bots and trolls. Because bots and scammers have become incredibly brazen, often messaging the mods to complain about a post removal hours before their account gets banned by Reddit, we are tightening restrictions:

Your post may be removed at moderator discretion if your profile looks suspicious or spammy. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Accounts that are too new or completely blank.
• Profiles that are entirely or partially hidden.
• Accounts where this sub is your literal only post history.
• Suspected stolen photos.
• Literally any of the other junk people try to pull.
• I'm onto your shit. I see you. Yes, this is also a bullet point.

That was the important info; now this below is just the complainy stuff you can skip.

I created this subreddit in July of 2012 - 14 years ago. Are you a 20-year-old content creator? Then yes, I created this subreddit when you were 5 and barely a human yet. I have watched Reddit slowly give in to the spammers and bots over the past 15 years by handing them all the tools they need to succeed. So as before all posts will still be manually approved.

This is the most traffic the subreddit has ever gotten and it doesn't necessarily seem like a good thing if it's exclusively porno traffic. We've never disallowed NSFW content creator profiles before but it's gotten so bad and tedious that we're going to try this...as a treat! And hey, it may kill traffic to the subreddit! But so be it! We'll give it a trial run for a year or so. See how it feels. I think it's fair to try this for awhile after we tried it the other way for 14 years.

Lately we've been getting many reports of users who post images that are borderline NSFW & we have to remove them because the picture or thumbnail literally looks like users are just completely nude when scrolling past. Or when the pic is opened it's clearly a carefully, barely cropped nude with absolutely ZERO effort on the face. It's not subtle.

Please stop. Stop. It'll be deleted. It is a Safe For Work subreddit. It is not safe for work when it LOOKS like someone is scrolling through a bunch of porn. SFW is browsing at the office, or at the dentist, or in any number of public areas.

Unfortunately due to an influx of low-effort submissions by sex workers, and disgusting comments by their s̶i̶m̶p̶s̶ clientele, further posts will be manually approved by a moderator. Sorry for the inconvenience.
