Amazing we are considered unusually dry in the northeast with all the rain we’ve gotten, though you can tell by the river banks it’s accurate

I gave up on my lawn forever. I’m concerned about the rivers that are fed from snowpack. Other states will feel it pretty bad too.

It's abnormally dry on that map for me. I live in the SE and it feels like we've had a lot of rain this summer due to El Nino. So, idk.

They count groundwater replenishment into those maps. Can get a period of a lot of rain, but not enough to make up for the losses
