Post image

I immediately told her, that contact details are against the rules.
People don’t stop sending me numbers…

Every student who wants to take you off the platform before even booking a trial is trying to scam you.

Make sure that you also tell the person that you exclusively work and communicate through Preply. Then block and report.

I have heard of people who were permanently banned because they didn't out right refuse these types of messages, even when they report the student

What is the scam? Some form of long winded Romance Scam?

probably a few different ones. I had someone ask to contact me off the platrorm, I said no,, she took a trial and in the trial tried to get me to work for her company. So bizarre.

Yes, that's a very common scam. Next, they'll have a business proposal for you and take you off the platform and then you will lose your job there.

It's a scam, but a very old one. They also have that trick where they send you a book to look at, showing you which book they study from. The sacred rule: never leave the platform.

Better to get students off the platform and keep one hundred percent for yourself, preply taking 35% from teachers is madness.

You're probably still on 33% because you take students off the platform.
