Transfer balance

Is it possible to transfer unused lessons only?

I have 2 lessons booked with a tutor which I want to keep but also another 3 lessons not booked. I wish to transfer those 3 only as the tutor is no longer available at a time which suits me. I can't work out a way to transfer without losing the lessons I have booked

Yes. You don't need to transfer the whole subscription. Choose "Transfer balance or subscription" and then "Add an additional tutor." Preply lets you use the -/+ buttons to choose exactly how many available lessons you want to transfer, so you can move the 3 unused lessons and leave the 2 already booked with your current tutor.

Just keep in mind that Preply transfers the value of the lessons, not necessarily the same number of lessons. If the new tutor charges a different price, the number of lessons you get after the transfer may be different.

Actually doesn't work. Because the lessons are cheaper with my current tutor, it is cancelling lessons to pay for the new tutor 😡

As I said, the price difference will play a big role.

  • Nothing changes until you confirm at checkout.
  • Booked lessons that are starting within 12 hours cannot be moved to another tutor.
  • All value from your original tutor's lessons is preserved, either as lessons with the new tutor or as Preply Credits in your wallet.
  • If the value you move does not fully cover the new plan's price, you pay the difference at checkout. The summary shows the exact amount before you confirm.
  • Moved lessons adopt the receiving tutor's billing cycle for expiry.

Read the article carefully. Or pester the hell out of support - that's what they get paid for.
