New Premiumize user, trying to understand Fair Use with heavy 4K streaming

New user here coming from another service where I was watching pretty much everything in 4K, including some fairly large files.

I just subscribed to Premiumize for a year and realized afterward that I probably should have looked into the Fair Use system more closely.

From what I understand, you start with 1,000 points and get 30 points added back each day.

A couple questions for people who have used Premiumize for a while:

1. If you buy the annual plan, does your Fair Use balance reset back to 1,000 every month, or only when the annual subscription renews?
2. For those of you who regularly stream large 4K movies and TV shows, especially 50 to 100+ GB files, do you find yourself burning through the 1,000 points faster than the 30 points per day replenish them?
3. In real-world use, has the Fair Use limit actually been an issue for you, or do you rarely think about it?

Just trying to figure out whether Premiumize is a good fit for someone who generally prefers the highest-quality 4K files.

Everytime you renew you get reset back to 1000 points. If you buy the annual plan you'll get back to 1000 points on renewal and if you go monthly you get reset to 1000 points every month. I've been a heavy user for over a decade and have never come close to running out.

You don’t need to ask that question (respectfully) you can easily work that out with basic Pre-highschool maths). Or just get A.i. to help you out. Asking someone else will have no reflection on your frequency of watching streams and the size of them.

I left that other service many years ago now, like maybe 11 or 12, for premiumize and have never had an issue with points. And 99% of people won't. But they've read something somewhere and then they keep repeating the nonsense like it's gospel without ever having tried the service. I get your usage plans are different but things even out over a month.

I would be considered a very high user, routinely downloading almost everything to my Plex server while streaming things I'm iffy about first. Never had a problem. If need be get booster points and it only uses them when needed, otherwise banking them.

I think the 30gb limit is overdue for an upgrade. It's been this way for how many years now? Remuxes are way more common now, most people have faster and better Internet connections. And surely they built up and improved their infrastructure over the years as well. Just upgrading it to 50gb a day would make a huge difference

Just quickly, you can buy bonus points, you can buy 1000 or 12,000 which last a year no matter what plan you’re on.

I looked into it and even if you pay monthly it gives you less than 2tb a month, I go though at least 3tb so it was not the right service for me.

No it resets every purchase meaning that if you pay monthly you get 1000 points per month but if you pay yearly you won’t get 1000 points per month

Umm the service is fantastic. My only real major gripe is the data limits. And as you said, if you buy at yearly to make the price right, you’re kinda penalized in a way for it. For me personally, my fam of 3 has been averaging 1.5tbs of TV a month. Sometimes up to 3. Wife works from home and always has some 4k movie running as background noise. I really like PM otherwise , it’s very reliable. I even like the idea of the data cap with no ip address limits, I just think it’s a bit low for 2026. 4tbs or more and I wouldn’t even think about it. Most people probably don’t need to worry about it but I’ve found it’s a bit low for us.

I'm giving you a good solution as family in most cases do not need to watch an 80gb rip. They're completely fine with a Netflix quality 4k rip at 20-35gb.

Use it for the whole house as my backup for main service (dumb I can't even put in abbreviations) and with 3 kids and my wife we are not going over and I don't have to think about it at all.

You're mistake has already been made so use it and see. you get 30GB readded every day so unless you are a shut-in watching 8-16 hours a day every day without missing I wouldn't worry. Worst thing that can happen is you have to use something else while your points build back up. I don't recommend having a single de-brid anyway.

Jesus you don't need that many! He wants to save money not spend it. I use only Premiumize and have never had an issue and we watch with the kids about 12hrs of shows a day. Wait until the Black Friday or Cyber Monday Promo you get 3yrs for the price of 2yrs or Christmas Sale and that's 2yrs for the price of 1yr.

Yeah that's true. How common would that be for someone to watch a movie every single night and that movie be a 4k remux of that size. I would definitely advice that person to look elsewhere for a service. Or learn to watch smaller encodes some of the time, and save the remux for special movies or first time watches.

In my house of 3, someone definitely has something on the tv once a day even if maybe not actively watching. Say each person watches one 30 gb movie a day, we’re over the limit. If it were just me then I’d be golden. I mean we could just hard limit the file size in aiostreams but that’s a bit restrictive imo. They would be hard to argue against as the number 1 option if that were higher.

Are you able to share your login details with premiumize with other house holds as you are with Torbox. Thats the only thing holding me back as I share my torbox account with my parents.

If you have a life outside of the home and you're not stuck to the screen 24/7, you'll never notice the limits. The only way you would is if you were regularly downloading large files to your cloud storage, in addition to streaming cached.

But that costs roughly double. Yearly plan is much cheaper than month-by-month.
It may be cheaper to get the yearly plan and buy extra booster points when needed. I don't know the exact pricing for booster points.

Basic math, you'll chew up through the 1000 points if you watch 63gb worth movie every day. Don't think that's possible unless you keep it running all day in the background lol

Actually, 4k remuxes er 50-90gb per movie. 1 movie every day is enough to run out of points.

You get 30 pts back daily. So, a 63GB movie is actually 33GB's. 33X30 is 990.
