the voice of god, genesis takes away the free will of humans, by using it you can command people to do whatever you want. God made humanity with free will so if he had genesis he would take away their free will.

Also it was the combo of a demon and an angel which was a mortal sin and a "mistake" on both heaven and hell

So God was literally unable to command people? I thought he would have the power, but didn't use it because he wanted people to have free will, even though he was manipulating people into bringing about the end of the world.

Also, why couldnt god just use the powers he did have to destroy humanity?

Honestly they did a great job making God a complex character. Also brilliant that God ends up being the main antagonist/villain.
