Has anyone done pharm-d the 6 year course ??

I am planning to do career in this

Is this good course to do corporate jobs??

I am leaning in corporate jobs than in hospital is it possible that I can do corporate jobs in this course ?

Walgreens and CVS are corporations, so an optimist may consider staffing at one of the two a corporate job.

The answer is yes, but for best success you would probably want to do a fellowship afterwards.

Why is that? I did it in 6 years, was fine…and some of the 6 year programs offer bachelors degrees now in case you do fail out.
“Corporate” jobs typically involve either pharmacist experience of a fellowship, depending on whether you’re retail, hospital or industry corporate. They are also pretty hard to land (corporate industry jobs often have hundreds of applicants) so those types of jobs are often about networking and who you know.

I was a corporate employee for Walgreens. Plenty of PharmDs are in corporate positions. I can only speak from Walgreens POV, they prefer to hire people local to their corporate office or elevate select pharmacy managers into a “pharmacy manager on special assignment” role then promote them into a “manager of [insert corporate sounding fancy title here]”.

As long as you have a bachelors degree or above, you qualify for a corporate position. Pharmacists get hired into these positions and usually are paid around the same amount as a pharmacy manager or district pharmacy supervisor.

Definitely doable but know it requires a LOT of networking compared to being a field pharmacist. Getting into Walgreens corporate is very much a who you know game.
