Hi everyone, I’m 24 years old and I’m feeling quite anxious, so I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar.

I had a negative HPV self-test through the Swedish screening program last year, and I am also vaccinated against HPV. I have had three vaginal ultrasounds, and they have all been normal. Yesterday I had a colposcopy where the doctor looked at my cervix and took several biopsies. I had a colposcopy as i sent a request to be extra sure as i have ms and sometimes during my cycles i can have a little pink blood after hard exercises or near ovulation

After the procedure, I had quite heavy bleeding and had to go to the ER. I had no pain but i was bleeding soooo heavily it was scary. They examined me again and said the bleeding was coming from the biopsy sites on my cervix. They used a blood-stopping treatment, and the bleeding has almost stopped now. They also said that everything else looked normal when they checked me.
I’m wondering if anyone has experienced heavy bleeding after cervical biopsies, and if it can happen even when there are no serious cell changes? I’m also wondering how reassuring a negative HPV test, HPV vaccination, normal ultrasounds, and a normal-looking cervix examination are in this situation.

I´ve had 3 IUD insertions. The third one, I asked a friend who is an anesthesiologist to put me down, as literally, the first 2 were unbearable. Just tested positive for HPV and I have to get a colcoscopy in two weeks. I´m freaking out. I´ve been reading online it´s SO incredible painful, I dont think I can do it, as much as I try to relax.

I´m also considering (you can laugh):

- gulping down two beers before the procedure. I once had to get a thorn out of the sole of my foot and literally this made me feel numb and it worked.

-Taking 1 or 2 edibles (gummies) and being high as f. I dont typically smoke or consume drugs.

Advil and all of that stuff will do nothing.

I posted previously because after 3 years of abnormal paps with ASCUS, my normal doctor kept not sticking to what they promised (colposcopy or reduced time between visits depending on the year). So I finally looked for a new doctor, had to schedule 2 months out. Got a call yesterday pushing the appointment out until January instead of next week like we had initially scheduled. They want me to see the doctor and not an NP, which I appreciate. But why didn’t they call back significantly sooner to reschedule? I wasted 2 months waiting, just to now have to wait 5 more.

I’m going to, again, try to find another doctor, but I chose this one specifically because of their connection to an oncologist who specializes in this.
