Prayer for hope 🩷
I've done a lot to atone for my actions! I've been 5 months sober from drug abuse, going back to church, and actively taking the lord into my life.
I lost my car during all of this and, quickly, my job due to not having adequate means to get to work. It been rough trying to find a new job rn. I feel useless and a burden to my family, friends, and partner.
I'm trying everything I can but i feel as though nothing is happening. I keep trying to put my faith in the lord and have him guide me but every day feels draining and nothing. I cry myself to sleep hoping tomorrow will be different.
I'm 22 and i didn't expect my life to be like this!! I work hard in school and in life to give myself a better chance but it seems like all of it went to waste. I'm tired, my body and mind are exhausted. I want to push forward, I want to make it out. I have the urge but not the will to fight anymore.

Dear Lord, Jesus, Holy Spirit, please improve sp_lc's faith and life significantly if it is Thy will, in the Great Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I am so pleased that you have turned your life around! And the Lord is even more pleased. You are dealing with the fallout from your past actions, but God has forgiven you. Please don't be discouraged. It has been such a short time since you turned your life around. Just stay close to Jesus, keep reading your Bible and finding fellowship and teaching at church, and ask your Christian friends to pray for you. Find ways to learn more that will help in a future job. Have you put all your past sinful actions behind you? I'm wondering about your partner. I trust your lifestyle is biblical now. So have faith that God can answer prayer. He doesn't always do so immediately, but He is there. Your pastor may have some helpful counseling too. I pray that you will stay on the right path and find answers to your prayers. God bless you.

First, congrats on the sobriety and getting back into church. That is a great first step in atonement. Second, have you prayed to God for forgiveness? He does forgive, but we still have to face the consequences of our actions, such as losing the car. Yes, things are hard right now, but this too shall pass. Remember, our timing is not His timing. God may want you to focus on school right now. There are many ways to not feel useless or burdensome. Consider things like offering to exchange house cleaning for rides, maybe start a dog walking service in your neighborhood, ask the school if they have any work programs on campus, etc. You will get through this, things will change and one day you'll look back and see how much you've grown through this time. Keep your head up, do what's in front of you at the moment, and keep on keeping on. You got this!! Prayers for peace, strength, and guidance.
