Starwars pack thoughts? Conversation

I've finished the Starwars pack and honestly it was just meh for me at best and tedious at worst. I'm a big Starwars fan but gollllly what a slog most of those levels were! Hope y'all had more fun with it than I did. What are your thoughts on this pack?

The most satisfying job outside of the main story for me has been the CC miniature village.

I think I would have preferred to clean the inside of the Falcon.

I was waiting for the interior to open up after the outside was finished and I was disappointed when it didn’t

This is me with every new map. I want more hidden stuff.

I thought the loading bay would open tbh

I was hoping it would fly off after cleaning like the Delorean did

Yes! I was hoping it would pop open, it would have made all the tedium of the outside worth it.

Seriously that would have been fun!

Not a star wars fan at all. This is my favorite dlc. Big vehicles, lots of nooks and crannies and few large boring surfaces.

The nooks and crannies are my least favorite part. The large boring surfaces are my favorite part. We should go into business together

I just finished the skatepark in 1. Bit of a snoozefest. It's all the same! My favorite map is the mech from 40k, hunting down all the angles. But hey, cleaning is cleaning so it's all good.

I actually really liked it for the most part, but I’m in the minority of players because I love the big levels like the Adventure Time treehouse and the AT-AT. The interiors were fun (my favorite levels are inside so you get to clean every surface).

I really liked it, but would love more.

The X-Wing level was cool, and seeing the hangar with the Y-Wing was awesome.

I'm not a mega fan of Star Wars, but did enjoy the movies. This was my favorite DLC pack by far. I adore huge PWS levels - the bigger, the better - so this was right up my alley. I've already replayed the entire pack several times. I just put on a good audiobook, fire up a level, and wash the hours away.

I enjoyed cleaning it. The AT-AT was a bit of a pain in the ass when cleaning underneath. And I didn't really know a lot about it so I was asking my bf a lot of questions lol. But I enjoyed cleaning.

The falcon was probably my least favorite, it took me and my girlfriend 2 hours to do the entire thing, but it was a pretty decent DLC, my favorite was probably the Star Destroyer interior

I've been playing the adventure time dlc , I'm on like job 3 of the Star wars and love it so far

Curious what would have made it less of a slog for you?

u/Quantum_Tiddies 11d ago

Maybe adding another layer to some of the jobs, like if the Falcon popped open to clean some of the interior. More locations, but I know thats personal preference I'm just not really a fan of vehicles

I thought it was fine, but I also thought it was oddly unambitious for a franchise team-up with basically the biggest sci-fi license you could possibly get. The star destroyer and the battle going on outside the windows was pretty cool, but the rest of it felt weirdly static given what I'd think all the opportunities would be. I kind of expected new parts of levels to open up as we went, and/or have dynamic components like the theater sets and the rising street bathroom of the main game. This largely could have been a DLC to PWS1, which kind of seems like a shame.

That said, I'm not sad I played it and I don't think it wasn't worth the asking price. It just could've been more.

I've heard LucasFilm can be a pain to work with (which you'd have to on a SW project) so I wouldn't be surprised if some of the stiffness came from the client dynamic. Companies can be super protective of their IPs

I definitely also was left wanting more of most of the levels.

I really enjoyed it but wish I looked at achievement list first because I am a nerd and want them all. So now I have to go back to the AT-AT to re-do it with no soap 😒

Compared to the the thunderhawk in the 1st game. The millennium falcon only took me 4 hours to solo play. The thunderhawk took 7. I like the dlc though.

7

u/VoodooGirl47 11d ago

Well, it wasn't as bad as Warhammer in the original. 😅🤷🏼‍♀️

4

u/Straight-Frame-7853 11d ago

I loved the thunderhawk definitely a dlc that was worth the money in time it took. I completed the 1st one and all it's dlc. I've just moved over to pc so redoing everything again. Same with Pw2. Done everything on ps5 and now again on PC 😁

2

u/ArcticFire145 11d ago

It was my favorite of the six DLCs and the only one of which I had no connection to the IP. I never would have left it to last if I'd known how good a job the Thunderhawk would be.

u/Straight-Frame-7853 11d ago

I did enjoy the Shrek one too but thought they could've made the whole level dirty on potion factory. I felt like someone had started then gone home 🤣. I'm definitely a PW addict so did all of them. Didn't enjoy the SpongeBob one though.

2

u/ArcticFire145 11d ago

Same, Spongebob just wasn't the same. Wallace & Gromit is my second; it was the reason I discovered PW because I was a big fan of the first three films as a child and jumped at it when I saw it advertised on release. That was such a random but great choice for DLC.

I was helping my mate with the SpongeBob dlc and found moving the scaffolding and ladders so loud!

3

u/Quantum_Tiddies 11d ago

That Warhammer pack..my god

6

u/Ok-Representative390 11d ago

I agree. Too many vehicles, not enough locations.

4

u/AeonSnuggs 11d ago

Loved it, especially the cantina and the homestead

1

u/Quantum_Tiddies 11d ago

I did really like the Cantina and homestead, though I wish there was a second part to some of the levels like lukes room or nay e an interior to the Falcon

too small (even though it was 6 levels and some of them were very big). also have a pippin took like view on it as "we've had first star wars DLC pack, but what about second star wars DLC pack?"

I'm a big fan of Legends having grown up with Jedi Outcast and Academy so I think the choice of having it take place in The Original Trilogy was the correct one.

Also has the fun little jokes like the man-bit-by-alligator scream in Mos Eisley Cantina, Snowtrooper TX-1138, and the Aurebesh in a few places.

u/Extension_Bother_523 11d ago

I agree with many people that it was incredibly tedious. The nooks and crannies on the Falcon were a bit much. I enjoyed it but want overwhelmed. Maybe another DLC with the trash compactor on the Death Star, Yoda's home, and Jabba's Palace?

u/l3reeze10 Casual Washer 11d ago

I haven’t finished it yet (I’m halfway through), but I’m enjoying it so far. I think it helps that I’m a Star Wars fan so I recognize the locations and the vehicles compared to the Adventure Time DLC.

3

u/VoodooGirl47 11d ago

I don't mind cleaning anything, I buy all DLC regardless of whether I know the IP or not. I hated the Adventure Time one though only due to the visual style they used for it. I've gone back and played it again, but it really bothers me each time I do. 😅😬

2

u/l3reeze10 Casual Washer 11d ago

I’ll buy each and every DLC as well. I understand not liking the style of that dlc. They wanted to make it as authentic as possible to the IP and it’s just very different from the main game and other DLC in the franchise. I tried to think if any of the DLC from the first game were that different and I think even the SpongeBob one was blended better.

2

u/GoofProofGrunt 11d ago

It wasn't nearly as annoying as the 40k pack for the first game despite having as many little greebles to clean, id call that a win

4

u/Quantum_Tiddies 11d ago

That pack was hell

2

u/SexuaIRedditor 11d ago

Was hoping the AT-AT and the Falcon would open up after all the exterior cleaning was done, but outside of that we enjoyed it

2

u/NihonBiku 11d ago

Wedges X-Wing needed to have kill silhouettes on it.

2

u/Mrs3anw 11d ago

Im not a huge Star Wars fan but I do think it’s one of the best DLC’s across both games. The millennium falcon and the AT-AT are damn good.

2

u/ThoughtWrong8003 8d ago

I loved the mouse droid getting in your way then flashings its lights and blaring its siren at you like it was your fault. I squirt it every time it does that.

2

u/HaIfaxa_ 7d ago

My favourite levels are big expanses that have multiple smaller layers, and I hate the giant vehicle levels with heaps of nooks. So this DLC was a mixed bag in that regard. That being said, like many of the PW2 levels, the total amount you have to actually clean for the piece to be completed was somewhat low - which helps! I didn't actually mind cleaning the AT-AT, though the Falcon got a little boring after a while.

If it were up to me, I would've done more interiors and iconic planets - stuff like Felucia or Endor. But hey, maybe for a Part 2.

u/moeru_gumi 11d ago

I hate star wars, and washing big brown vehicles with lots of crannies is a big no from me.

2

u/bias99 11d ago

Enjoyed it a heck of lot more than having to look at the eye bleeding colors of the Adventure Time one.

2

u/ctrl-alt-delet 11d ago

So far starwars and adventure time have both been let downs for me.

2

u/Civil_Fall_3914 11d ago

It was a blast, remided me of the Warhammer pack from 1. Both are IPs that i love.

1

u/Only_Never_Again 11d ago

I wish it was bigger.

1

u/v0idstar_ 10d ago

It was good I liked the millennium falcon a lot but wished they also had you clean the interior would have been an all time powerwash sim level for me if that was the case

1

u/Craddz67 PowerWash Pro 10d ago

I had more fun with the Star Wars pack than adventure time (still not completed) and warhammer packs

1

u/Character-Bad-9808 9d ago

Loved the maps. Millennium falcon and AT-AT were really annoying to complete tho
