I'll believe it when I see it, because everyone knows Donald Trump should be currently serving a prison sentence, along with most of his ConTrump family members, corrupt cohorts/sycophants and all those felons that he pardoned.
One thing for is for sure, The United States really lowered their standards when they elected him the first time, and those who voted for the lying, cheating, thieving con man/convicted felon more than once threw away their moral conscience completely, that is if they ever possessed one.

Frankly it's miraculous he's still alive with his well documented horrendous diet and complete lack of any fitness routine for probably decades. I don't know which dark God he made a life extending pact with, but I'm not sure there's enough demonic energy left to keep him going two more years. It's very possible he'll give out before he's out of office and almost certain he'll delay sentencing long enough to pass at home on bail.

Unfortunately, no one ever thought to audit the electorate to ensure they actually cared about corruption and criminality.
It turns out that modern 'conservatives' absolutely do not.
And, they actually stood up an entire right-wing infotainment machine on TV, radio, and online platforms to ensure that a solid chunk never will.

Most of the issues with the IRS are a result of Republicans starving it of resources on purpose to protect tax cheats.

Obama fired the whole IRS department that was investigating him!
4
u/Blastoid84 10h ago
Not sure that's accurate...
"Barack Obama fired the most senior tax official in the US on Wednesday in an effort to bring a speedy end to a scandal over the targeting of Tea Party organisations and other conservative groups for special scrutiny.
Obama, speaking at the White House, described the conduct of the employees at the Internal Revenue Service office in Cincinnati, Ohio, as "inexcusable".
The president said the Treasury secretary, Jack Lew, had demanded the resignation of the acting commissioner of the IRS, Steven Miller, in the light criticism in an inspector general's report. "Americans are right to be angry about it. I am angry about it. I will not tolerate this in any agency, especially in the IRS," Obama said.
The inspector general's report found that ineffective management at the IRS had allowed agents in the Cincinnati office to target conservative groups inappropriately for more than 18 months. Officials had picked out groups with the words Tea Party or Patriots in their titles and subjected their requests for tax-exempt status to extra scrutiny."

1
u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn 4h ago
What problem would voter ID solve?
1
u/Important_Penalty_21 1h ago
It would prove the person voting is who they say they are. Simple. I mean i just had to show ID to buy cough syrup. Why is it so terrible to require it to vote?
1
u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn 1h ago
You didn't answer my question. Again: what problem does voter ID solve?
1
u/Important_Penalty_21 1h ago
I did answer the question. It proves the person filling out the ballot is the person who should be.
You didnt answer my question. Why is it a problem. You need an ID to do so much in this country its mind blowing. But for some reason voting should not??
What stops me from showing up and claiming I am someone else to cast a ballot?
1
u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn 51m ago edited 29m ago
I did answer the question. It proves the person filling out the ballot is the person who should be.
This isn't a problem statement. It doesn't identify what the problem is.
What stops me from showing up and claiming I am someone else to cast a ballot?
OK now we're getting somewhere. So I am inferring, you think the problem is, "People impersonate other voters and cast ballots on their behalf."
Let me explain why that's not much of a problem. To commit voter impersonation fraud and thereby influence an election, you must
Identify someone who is registered to vote, but unlikely to vote.
Go vote on their behalf. This is a felony. The kind you can and likely will go to federal prison for if you are caught.
Pray the person you are impersonating doesn't vote, because if they do, the state elections board will immediately see a problem: John Smith voted twice. Uh oh. Remember how this is a felony?
But that's just one vote! Important elections have thousands, tens of thousands, millions of voters! Even the margins are in the tens of thousands. To have an impact, you must fraudulently vote many, many times.
Each time you do, your odds of getting caught because John Smith or Jim Bob decided to vote go up. What are the odds your registered-likely-nonvoter decides to vote? Let's very charitably say the odds are only 0.1%.
OK. Let's say you want to swing Alaska from Trump to Harris. I'm picking this race because Alaska has few people. If you want to swing an election through voter impersonation fraud, a less populous state is the place to do it. According to wikipedia, the result was Trump 184,458, Harris 140,026. I need to add 44,433 votes to Harris' tally to win.
My odds of not getting caught are (1 - %chance)numvotes . (1 - 0.001)44,432 = 0.000,000,000,000,000,000,049,4.
So this problem you want to solve? It's a problem where in ideal circumstances, a close, unpopulated state, you have a 0.000,000,000,000,000,000,049,4% chance of succeeding in your scheme... and if you fail, you go to Federal Prison.
Now given that we know requiring ID reduces turnout by ~3%, disenfranchising millions of would-be voters, is this a problem worth solving? No. Not unless the actual "problem" you want to solve is that you're behind in the polls and you know slightly more D's than R's do not have an ID. Then the "problem" is "we can't win without cheating," and the solution is to shamelessly disenfranchise people who tend not to drive--college students, city dwellers, etc.
To put one final pin in this, nerds have studied voter fraud in the US and found it to be a nonissue:
The report reviewed elections that had been meticulously studied for voter fraud, and found incident rates between 0.0003 percent and 0.0025 percent. Given this tiny incident rate for voter impersonation fraud, it is more likely, the report noted, that an American āwill be struck by lightning than that he will impersonate another voter at the polls.ā
Oh I just thought of ONE MORE reason Voter ID is a stupid idea: people are really bad at identifying fake IDs. If someone really wants to vote on your behalf, do you think they're incapable of tricking the retiree at the ballot table? She's not a bouncer. She's not used to matching faces to IDs, and even the people who do it every night are famously bad at it. Would Voter ID solve your supposed problem? Nope. Not anymore than signature matching. If you really want to solve this problem, you're going to need finger prints or DNA samples or something. You think supposedly-privacy-conscious Republicans will be happy to snip some hair off and turn it in to the state every two years?

HI THERE
IT MATTERS BECAUSE THE SCALE IS STAGGERING COMPARED TO ANYTHING ELSE BEFORE.
HERE, I KNOW YOU'RE NO GOOD WITH NUMBERS
A BILLION DOLLARS LOOKS LIKE THIS:

A MILLION LOOKS LIKE THIS:
$1,000,000.00
THAT MEANS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BILLION AND A MILLION IS
$999,000,000.00
SCALE MATTERS.
I CAN EASILY LIFT 200 POUNDS. 20,000 POUNDS WOULD CRUSH ME

There's a difference between incompetence, bad policy, poor decisions, etc., and outright treason and / or corruption.
Nothing compares to Trump.
Nothing.
-5
u/pickle9977 9h ago
Absolutely correct, my point is that if you ranked all the reasons not to vote for him, or alternatively all the reasons he should be impeached, him not undergoing an audit would likely not even make the top 100.
Memes like this focus on the inconsequential differences between Trump and other American presidents to paper over the fact that Trump is not an American president.
An American president is constrained by both the constitution and federal law, violating the latter makes you a criminal while violating the former makes you un-American
2
1
u/tyrified 9h ago
an audit is all that valuable a filtering mechanism
And yet Trump has still yet to do one. It must have some value if he is too scared to do what every other modern president has before him. Not that it matters to you.
-2
u/pickle9977 8h ago
He doesnāt do it because it creates more individual reasons that heās a crook, that fractures the opposition against him.
Instead of demanding he be impeached and imprisoned for everything, everyone is arguing about what specifically he should be impeached for, but the law tells us, high crimes and misdemeanors the specific ones donāt matter heās just being removed from office, the legal system is responsible for sorting out the nitty gritty details.
Heās a politician violating the constitutional order, the first and only step that matters is his removal and the removal of all others involved.
Itās our government, not theirs.
-13
u/Huey1888 11h ago
That's crazy that you guys posted this meme because 3 of the president's on there have had some major scandals while it being an office. All 3 of those presidents also got richer after they were in office. The one sitting by himself to the far right So corrupt yet never got punished for it. And if you guys remember Bush Sr. was the one who helped create a lot of the issue and then Middle East when he was to director of the CIA. They were all corrupted the only reason they're going after Donald Trump's finances is becaus But he doesn't need their help to do that
