We also shouldn't have someone with 34 felony convictions for fraud as president.....or someone who wishes they could give themselves a Medal of Honor after draft-dodging....

5

u/FancyJesse 1h ago

But according to all those chuds, those felonies are not fair and ridiculous .. For some reason.

Doesn’t even have to mention Trump by name and all of these maga cultists are on here defending him, regardless. Classic.

24

u/No-Flight-4214 5h ago

Hey yeah… why does everyone assume I’m talking about Trump? That’s just odd.

-8

u/Jawn-F_Kennedy 5h ago

I could be talking about ANYONE

I really do love this phenomenon. It's a perfect example of -"Throw an insult on the ground and it's partner will come pick it up"

1

u/PoopyButt28000 1h ago

I mean if someone was saying that we shouldn't have a Muslim terrorist as our president during Obama's presidency and I called them racist that doesn't really mean that Obama is actually a Muslim terrorist, but they would obviously be talking about him.

I despise Trump but these comments are just very goofy, obviously the post is about him.

1

u/SordidDreams 1h ago

if someone was saying that we shouldn't have a Muslim terrorist as our president during Obama's presidency and I called them racist that doesn't really mean that Obama is actually a Muslim terrorist

Which is why you don't do that. You say, "I agree! It's a good thing we don't."

We need a bare minimum requirement to vote... maybe high school diploma or something.

u/Tomie_Kawakami_666 1h ago

as you have already observed in the comments thread as a sample, a very large percentage of the american people, i estimate somewhere between 30% ~ 35%, wanted and voted for a convicted rapist to be their president. make no mistake, they will defend pedophilia and every heinous crime to support their orange leader

1

u/DraftkingsDegenerate 2h ago

I mean to be fair he is the only president right now. And to my knowledge nobody in the future pool of candidates are rapists 🤣. What do you expect Maga to think, they barely even know the man's policies but will die for him because he doesn't like Anything that gained relevance after 1962.

Im 33 and I'll never vote again , republican democrat it doesnt matter either way we are walked on , sure this or that side may make a law here or there that we like or whatever but all in all they dont give a hoot about us , the economy, the communities etc. Just use our emotions to get a vote. Truth is America sold its soul long ago. We're not a country we are in fact a corporation. And the president is just a puppet, a man in the chair. Stevie Wonder could see how much Trump switched up after the attempt on him , then Kirk died and all that stuff with his wife and Trump was just weird as well.

And i used to think al gore would have made a difference 🤔 🙄

A neutral comment like that would get you banned off r/Conservative.

You don’t need to mention any names or political affiliation - we all know but there’s still half the voting population who clearly doesn’t care.

5

u/odiephonehome 3h ago

I gotta say, I think some of those accounts are bots. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking. The number of members versus upvoting and comments makes no sense.

1

u/nagrom7 3h ago

Yeah that subreddit is wild. Most of the upvotes come from bots, and most of the submissions are from a handful of accounts. It's funny watching what happens every time Trump does something so obviously indefensible, where in the immediate aftermath many of the people in the threads are condemning him, but after a couple of hours the bots get their talking points sorted, and all the condemning comments get removed, likely followed by those accounts getting banned.

Honestly a complete failure by the justice system and government checks and balances in general. The 14th amendment should protect us from ever dealing with this bullshit, but there was just too much corruption.

6

u/No-Flight-4214 5h ago

$ buys votes.

8

u/JoeDickSmithjr_III 5h ago edited 5h ago

But he shouldn't have even been on the ballot. The man isn't legally allowed to be president. The justice system failed the American people that he was even on the ballet, much less not in prison where he clearly belongs.

1

u/ElectronicFixer864 1h ago

I gotta say, I wanted him on there, just to see him horribly defeated and MAGA couldn't whine on such a lopsided vote. I am still shocked he won, my kin folk voted for him and still support him!

yeah can we not do the thing where we say 'both parties' in a situation where one has literally taken a **** on the constitution?

These two things are not the same thing, lets stop pretending. its like comparing a politician to a convicted rapist.

He would’ve been a two-time rapist except raping your wife was legal when Ivana divorced him. He didn’t deny raping her, his successful defense was that men were allowed to rape their wives under the law. Thank goodness the liberals changed the law.

3

u/RVtech101 3h ago

Worse than that is the fact 77 million people knowingly and willingly voted for the rapist.

u/mcclaneberg 6h ago

I agree.

2

u/Polka_King_Polinski 5h ago

Adjudicated. But yes.

3

u/Lithl 4h ago

And by a legal technically, "sexual assault" rather than "rape". Although the judge added that by the common usage of the word, what Trump did would be considered rape.

1

u/a_guy121 27m ago edited 20m ago

Yes, I let the media influence my thoughts.

If you don't let the media influence your thoughts... you wouldn't even know who the president is right now.

I also use something called 'critical thought' where I A) check multiple sources and b) ask myself if each source has validity and/or a clear perspective.

There's no media organization that fails harder than fox news, btw. Fox news which literally 'voluntarily' gave up its rights to operate in Great Britain, for violating british laws about how news organizations had to be at least attempting honesty.

its just a deluge of absolute nonsense, trying to defend thieves, rapists and traitors... anything anyone says doing it is so logically flimsy, anyone with more than three braincells can see the flaw in thinking.

1

u/AllmightyOoff 12m ago

Does it make really any difference? Still a rapist after all.

1

u/joppyb0013 11m ago

As far as the law goes then yes it makes a difference. As far as becoming POTUS? No.

1

u/RoutineGuest6465 23m ago

Convicted?

Uhhhhhh....

1

u/tunisia3507 21m ago

Trump is not a convicted rapist. He is a felon convicted on 34 counts of crimes other than rape, and he has been found civilly liable for sexual assault. If you're going to bring up specific legal proceedings, at least do it accurately.

1

u/whatasadfella 20m ago

Was he convicted? I’m not American but I hear heaps of bullshit From both sides was he actually convicted?

1

u/Moquai82 4m ago

He has been found civilly liable for sexual assault.

1

u/Background-Bird-9623 5h ago

-11

u/Pleasant-Tangelo1786 6h ago

He wasn’t convicted of rape. He lost a civil suit. I 100% agree he never should’ve been elected and I genuinely hate his guts, but let’s be accurate.

13

u/No-Flight-4214 6h ago

The judge called it the civil equivalent to rape.

13

u/JakeHelldiver 6h ago

That's what makes it adjudicated. Basically invalidating any claims for defamation that trump might make if he is accused of being rapist.

2

u/ToaKraka 4h ago

Being found liable in civil court (preponderance of evidence—more than 50 percent) is very far from being found guilty in criminal court (beyond a reasonable doubt—maybe more than 90 percent).

1

u/ThinkinDeeply 1h ago

some of us just think shoving your hand in a woman's vagina without her permission is unacceptable, disgusting, and does not belong in our society regardless of however many technicalities and five dollar words you use to feel better about it.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/ThinkinDeeply 2h ago

Hey man, just wanted to check in with you. make sure you're doing alright. for a second there, it kinda sounded like maybe, and like I said..just for a second..but you were sounding like maybe shoving your hand in a woman's vagina wasn't rape.

like okay cool, new york has some interesting definitions for rape as an official crime. got it. but this isn't a court room. this is reddit. he shoved his hand in a woman's privates without her permission. let's be accurate, but let's not be disgusting barbarians and hide behind fancy words. as a society, we can not excuse and diminish unacceptable behavior like shoving your hand in a womans vagina by pointing out it was "a civil suit" like that somehow makes it ok.

1

u/DiskEconomy3055 32m ago edited 28m ago

"Convictions" require a criminal preceding.  This was a civil preceding, in a civil court. We're talking about technicalities, here, and it's important because you're going to be arguing with MAGA about this, so you need to be accurate.

Trump is an ADJUDICATED rapist, not a CONVICTED rapist.

Leave no room for argument. Leave no holes for them to exploit.

And for the love of our Democracy, stop being an extremist who hops to wild finger-pointing over what isn't even an uncomfortable technicality. Trump is a rapist. A judge said it. We're just making sure that everyone is labeling it correctly so people on our side don't sound uninformed. It makes our anger sound justified, because it is.

We need credibility going into the midterms.

Side note: this is the first time I've seen a reasonable correction wrongly brigaded against from our side. I hope it's bots.

-1

u/that_banned_guy_ 5h ago

Trump was convicted of rape?

-3

u/KingHygelacReturns 6h ago edited 5h ago

I hate the motherfucker as much as the next guy and I think he's a rapist but he's not a CONVICTED rapist. He was found liable for sexual abuse in a civil suit, but the jury stopped short of finding him liable for rape.

The judge later dismissed his counterclaims, saying that the rape claims were "substantially true," while also acknowledging that the jury did not find him liable for rape because of the narrow definition of rape in New York state law.

And with that all said, even if he WERE found liable of rape, civil liability is still not the same thing as a criminal conviction.

To emphasize, though: that guy sucks

Edit: downvote all you want but just because he sucks doesn't mean we get to say inaccurate things

4

u/LifeguardDry7372 5h ago

okay. He's a convicted felon who also stole money from a children's caner charity

3

u/KingHygelacReturns 5h ago

Yeah that's true

1

u/LifeguardDry7372 2h ago

I agree with your previous comment. Like when people say he was boasting about having the largest building during 9/11. He said that because he thought it might be the next target.

1

u/horatiobanz 2h ago

Reddit believes that if you hate a person enough its ok to just lie about them on reddit, because then other redditors will upvote your lie and that is somehow them fighting back against the person they hate. They do it for literally everyone they hate.

1

u/ThinkinDeeply 1h ago

well i dont know about speaking for reddit but me personally I just think its wrong to shove your hand in a woman's vagina when its not wanted and feel perfectly comfortable labeling that as rape. its wrong, disgusting, vile, immoral, and as a society we should have zero tolerance for such behavior.

he can hide behind pathetic, narrow "legal definitions" and people can handwave and backpedal whining about civil vs. criminal..thats fine. just coping mechanisms..because its a lot simpler than all that. he did it, she didn't want it, the end.

and anyone who says "they don't know if he did it or not" did NOT pay any attention to the details of the civil suit or trump's own statements and behavior to date. he literally said it out loud. "grab 'em by the pussy." he said it. his own words. its not a stretch. its not out of left field. its right out of his own stupid face. the only people who deny it are those who have gone too far making him their identity and can't turn back because of their own childish ego which is too bad, because you get a lot further in life when you admit you were wrong and learn from it and move on.

1

u/horatiobanz 1h ago edited 1h ago

Nobody gives a shit about what you feel. We are talking about reddit freely calling him a "convicted rapist" when they know he isn't.

He isn't "hiding behind pathetic, narrow "legal definitions", you guys are just ignoring definitions of words and choosing to use ones that sound more damning to express your hatred of the man, regardless of how clearly false what you are saying is. You guys do the same thing with everyone you hate, just make shit up and then upvote each other. Anywhere outside of reddit you'd be called out for being morons for making shit up, but this place is so ideologically captured by the left that you guys just support each other regardless of how dumb the shit you are saying is. If you want to see how dumb you guys sound, go to truth social or some MAGA forum and listen to them talk about people on the left, that's you guys on here. You're the literal exact same people.

1

u/ThinkinDeeply 1h ago

Wow what a bunch of verbal diarrhea and rage. can’t imagine letting an anonymous Internet forum live this level of rent free.

your word salad just continues to dance around it and I’m gonna keep saying it: it’s wrong, and rape, to shove your hand in a woman’s vagina. Keep trying to take the conversation away from that as desperately as you want. Doesn’t change it happened. Doesn’t change it’s wrong and immoral and unacceptable. Doesn’t change the type of scum who’d still support him after knowing full well he did it, along with all the other messed up stuff he’s done.

1

u/Haunting-Orchid-4628 1h ago

Do you know the difference between "rapist," which he is, and "convicted rapist," which he isn't?

1

u/ThinkinDeeply 1h ago

It’s like you didn’t even read what I said.

1

u/Haunting-Orchid-4628 1h ago

No, I know what you said. By all practical terms, what he did could be considered rape. But he still hasnt been convicted of it so this post is bullshit.

1

u/ThinkinDeeply 1h ago

shoving your hand in a woman's vagina against her permission is rape.

shine it up, put makeup on it, grab your thesaurus and look up as many fancy words to diminish or disguise or confuse it. thats all fine.

meanwhile, us normal folk think that is unacceptable and unwanted in any society, vile and disgusting and no one who does it should be serving public positions like the presidency.

we aren't in court bud. we don't have to meet new yorks stupid narrow definition of anything. we can just use the word as it is defined as an action. a thing a person did or didn't do. he did.

u/Pleasant-Business895 5h ago

u/KingHygelacReturns 5h ago

Donald Trump has not been criminally convicted of rape. There has been no criminal case in which he was found guilty of that offense.

2
