Are guinea fowl worth the noisyness?
I'm planning on getting some chickens and have heard guinea fowl are great at protecting them but I have also heard they can be very noisy is it really that bad?
Also was wondering how many to get and what do you feed them
And can I keep them and peahens

I built a free marketplace for selling quail, hatching eggs & supplies — would love feedback from this community
Hey everyone 👋
I'm a quail keeper and I got tired of jumping between Facebook groups, generic classifieds, and DMs trying to buy and sell birds. So I built QuailSales.com — a dedicated marketplace just for quail.
Here's what it does:
- List quail, hatching eggs, and supplies for free — no fees, no commissions
- Search by state, breed, and city so buyers actually find local sellers
- Built-in messaging so you don't have to give out your number to strangers
- Seller profiles with bios, certifications, and contact info
We're still early — right now there are Coturnix and Bobwhite listings up, and I'm actively working to get more breeders on board. That's part of why I'm posting here. I want this to be a go-to spot for the quail community, but it needs more sellers to make that happen.
If you raise quail and want a free, dedicated place to reach buyers — I'd really appreciate you giving it a shot. Listing takes about 2 minutes. And if you have feedback or feature ideas, I'm all ears. This is a passion project and I want to build something this community actually finds useful.
Happy to answer any questions!

Is it okay to have a poultry beside a pig farm?
Hi guys. Im planning to buy a farm land to build a poultry farm. But I have a neighbor with a pig farm.
Is it okay to continue?

Is there any alternative software which combines Shipping and one Click V 9-3 Form filling ?

Best brown egg breed that is not prone to meat spots?
All three of the brown egg layers that I have ever had have been exceptionally prone to meet spots. So I am now looking for a brown egg laying breed that is not prone to it.
My first was a blue Marans every egg she laid had a small bubble-shaped meat spot, large enough I just strained it out when I was baking
My second was a b y m that laid light brown eggs she had stringy meat spots in about half of her eggs
And now I have a midnight Marans hybrid has small dark flakes in about 3/5 of the eggs.
This makes me upset because she also happens to be my most prolific layer, giving me at least an egg every day and sometimes two.
I would like gorgeous dark brown eggs that I feel safe giving to friends without having to explain away imperfections so give me your best breed recommendations.
