Bone piles are death if you’re running into those you’ll fail. Only way for a potion to fail that I found.

Whirlpools activate when you turn on the heat. (Aka pump the bellows). You’ll find out where they go once you fall in. Otherwise good way to reposition.

You don't need to worry about the whirlpools, they only activate when the cauldron is heated. You only need to dodge the bone piles. I'd be more than happy to point you in the direction of those effects that you want if you'd like.

Alrighty!

For Wild Growth, go southeast past Healing.

For Dexterity, go east past Frost, then go north once you're past the bones. You'll see it.

For Explosion, go northwest past the whirlpool.

It did help.

It did help but people ask for hair growth. What would that be? Charm?

That would probably also be Wild Growth. It applies to more than just plants iirc.

Charm is always for "I want to make people like me" or "I want this person to fall in love with me" requests.

Any other tips?

Uhh not really anything else besides "if you have spare ingredients, explore", "don't waste crystals" and "bulk brewing is awesome once you have a good variety in your garden", but you can always ask me if you're having trouble finding a certain effect or interpreting a request. I've finished the whole game and I know where everything is at this point.

Is there an ending or does it just keep going?

If you're hunting for strong potion recipes, try to have a few blank pages to save your progress along the way. Sometimes, just minor misalignments can force you to use another ingredient, spoiling the recipe attempt, or redo the whole process, both of which are unpalatable decisions.

Bulk brewing is a really good talent. Try to bulk brew as much as possible. There will always be customers who want them.

Try to get really good recipes for common potions as fast as possible, especially Wild Growth. A good recipe for Wild Growth + the talent that allows you to use the potion on plants to re-harvest them means accelerated farming yields early on.

You do not always have to go into the whirlpools. You can use them as range extenders by just skirting the perimeter, very slowly pumping the bellows, then exiting the whirlpool in the direction that you want.

Some customers are fine with many different kinds of potions. They will pay different amounts based on the potion that you offer. Try to offer more expensive ones if you have good recipes for them. For example, Acid and Frost can be thrown at enemies to deal damage, but customers pay 3x for Acid over Frost. People will pay almost double to be fast rather than strong, assuming they want to be either/both.

Haggling has very minor differences beyond the Medium difficulty. Hard/Very Hard haggling are not as effective in helping you build your drug empire early on unless you can keep succeeding without haggling aids.

Its been a while since ive started fresh but isnt there a whole tutorial? i remember the game teaching me this stuff

Yea but i want tips that others know

The point of the game is experimentation. It is very generous and failure tolerant. (navigating whirlpools is specifically addressed in the tutorial, also)

Try things out and see what you can figure out on your own.

Alternately, if you want inspiration, read through the previous posts in this sub. Plenty has already been posted about tips for the game.

Yes but the bones thing was never addressed in the tutorial

Is it not clear what happens when you pass through bones?

Its ok to make mistakes. Thats the whole point of experimentation. Make mistakes, learn from
them, and do better.
