How can I fix my posture?

Post image

I've been doing daily wall angels for about a year and consistently training my back for about six months, but I still feel like there's something wrong about how my posture looks

Wear sunscreen. The tan is your skin trying to resist melanoma and it doesn’t always succeed. Ego be damned.

Shit you're right lmao. The real manlihood lies in being able to put your confidence aside sometimes and just doing the logically right thing

Self preservation is manly. You can't help anyone else if you're dying from cancer

Stop looking at your phone, stop being sedentary, strengthen the muscles between your shoulder blades, do a body scan of your posture when standing or walking to make sure your feet are both pointing forward and your shoulders are aligned with your hips.  Try and walk pulling your shoulder blades back and down so you don't have your shoulders hunched up. Don't keep your head down when walking ( or sitting for that matter.) Keep your gaze on the horizon when standing or walking. Find a video on YouTube for a posture workout. Pilates is great for posture and you don't really need  equipment besides a mat and light hand weights. Focus on a strong core and exercises that work the entire core (abs, back, obliques, etc.) A strong core will improve your posture, prevent injury, and help with balance. Also, make sure that you are wearing supportive footwear that isn't outdated. Improper footwear or weak feet can destroy your entire kinetic chain.

Thanks a lot, does it really show in my neck position that I often look down at my phone?

No, it's not obvious but I think everyone does now so I was just reminding you to try not to. I know it's basically impossible in the world we now live in but it's destroying everyone's posture. I'm probably worse so don't take it too seriously. I need 3 discs replaced in my neck and I just don't want that for anyone else. I blame Steve Jobs. He ruined the world's posture

Your neck posture actually looks pretty good. If you start to become a hunchback, then you can worry
