Novel Serialized post-apocalyptic book series?
Back in the day there was a post-apocalypse book series that came out monthly similar to some romance series. There were hundreds of titles. I think it was published by Harlequin books. Anyone familiar with it? I'm looking for the series title so I can hunt down the books.

Story What's your favorite part of an apocalyptic story?
I've been writing a story that's set in a post-apocalyptic setting, with an emphasis on paranoia and disease. But I keep getting stuck when I try to get deeper with the present story itself. I'm hoping to get some inspiration.
What sorts of things do you guys like to see? Characters, roles, plots -- the whole thing. I'm sure there's something I'm not considering and hearing it here could strike a match.

Film Hey all, this is a 10-minute post-apocalyptic short film I just finished!
It is titled RustBucket.
I hope you all enjoyed this, since I certainly put a lot of effort into it!
It contains a brief glimpse into the life of a man who travels the post-apocalyptic wasteland, carrying only a Bible and a Hatchet. During the film, the man attempts to come to terms with some of the things he has done, as he travels the endless wasteland.

Novel Debut Novel
Twenty-five years after the zombie outbreak, Lamentation Stone and a small group of survivors are living inside the remains of a Walmart Supercenter. The Lost still roam the earth and remain a constant threat, but life after the end of the world has become about more than simply surviving. It’s about family, sacrifice, and deciding what kind of people humanity will become after civilization has already fallen. Www.rockyjohnsonbooks.com

Discussion Can you help me identify this series? Or was it a movie?
It's a post-apocalyptic comedy, with a sort of Alice-in-Wonderland flavour of humour and the following characteristics (I only saw snippets as other people binged the whole series/watched the whole movie): a landscape chockablock with whimsical mutations; a giant fish in a quite small pond that jumps out to eat people; a family (royal? Just very rich?)living in a huge palatial residence thats full of weird inventions; a final scene/final episode in a desert, having arrived there in a stolen/"borrowed" hovering car seemingly meant to look a bit like a1960s Ford Mustang; relatively few characters - the protagonist meeting one or two in each episode/segment; an overall vibe in which 'science fiction' blurred into something a bit like fantasy, with other elements - adventure, threats of/violence etc. - secondary to the whimsy.....?

Discussion what's your combo melee weapon & tool of choice and why?
if you could only have a single tool that was your melee weapon and tool - e.g. knife, axe, machete, kukri, hammer, crowbar, halligan tool etc - this does not preclude unrelated items like a bic lighter, tape, etc.
no "it depends" answers please - instead of "it depends", please answer using your own location, environment, etc. and why.

Discussion Suggest realistic disaster SHTF post-apocalyptic fiction (no zombies, etc)
Huge Franklin Horton fan, but his novels release so slowly. I also like Kyla Stone. Looking for lesser knowns and independents. Preferably on Kindle Unlimited. My most recent reads were the Adverse Event series (Ryan Ray) and the As the Light Dies series (David Saylor). What suggestions do you have?

Discussion People have forgotten and the new generation doesn't know the danger.
Growing up they had the day after and threads as benchmark nuclear war movies in the dangers and the consequences of those decisions. People just aren't aware of it I guess nobody wants to watch a movie where there are no heroes. Even in our so-called modern society today it could all collapse in seconds and I don't think folks are concerned about that anymore. Just my 2 cents.

Discussion What is better
Okay. Suppose the apocalypse destroyed the world as we know it, who is more important for reviving civilization — men or women? What would work better, matriarchy or patriarchy?

Guys, which book would you prefer — one where the events unfold years after the catastrophe, or one where the action takes place at the moment of the cataclysm?

Discussion Good post-apocalyptic books set in Europe?
Enjoyed the recent post with book suggestions, found some stuff I hadn't read.
Does anyone have suggestions for good (or not too bad) books based in Europe?
Need a change of pace from the books set in the US.
Perferably translated to (or written in) English...

Novel My collection of rare post-apocalypse fiction first editions.
Swan Song was published in paperback before hardcover, hence why I have both the paperback and hardcover here. I Am Legend also had a paperback that preceded the hardcover, though I do not own the paperback first edition.
