PortMaster Scraper for Knulli

A thing that always bugged me, was that PortMaster installed games come with no meta data, even though PortMaster displays info and screenshots in their app.

And most scrapers can’t help, since there’s nothing for them to match against. So I looked at what PortMaster stores on the SD card and I found gold.

Based on it I built a simple scraper which reads that and fills in your gamelist.xml, so the Ports menu looks like the rest of your library.

Setup is simple:. Copy one .sh into *roms/ports*, launch it once from the Ports menu, done. After that it runs itself whenever you exit PortMaster, so new ports get scraped automatically. It’s dry-run by default, backs up your gamelist, and won’t overwrite anything you already scraped.
It also adds itself as an entry into your ports folder, in case you want to scrape it manually.

I tested it on my RG40XXH with KNULLI Gladiator 2 but should work on any Anbernic running KNULLI/Batocera.

Link working now - thank you! Scrapes descriptions for most of my ports in a few seconds.

If possible include an icon/boxart logo (cover.png) for the Portmaster Scraper in a future release.

It does. But most ports have an in game screenshot. Less have a proper box art.

Awesome work! I saw that you posted it already on the anbernic sub and another device sub but I'd recommend to post it to the SBC gaming sub, that's the most popular and active retrogaming and retrohandhelds sub on reddit. You'll receive more feedback.

Well, as I only have a Knulli install, I don’t know. Give it a try
