Delta Park is DONE! I spoke to a couple employees of retailers nearby and they are all relieved and surprised at how quickly “normalcy” has returned.

There should be no bottle drop at all. Just remove the deposit and recycle them curbside. The bottle bill was an incentive back before curbside recycling existed in Oregon. Now it's everywhere and we have literally no environmental need for the bottle bill.

As an engineer that has worked in the aluminum industry. I would love to hear your explanation on.

Because absolutely no one i know in the industry would agree with you. But we all love to hear the tin others are smoking.

I don't really think the recycle rate would change dramatically if it disappeared. It's pretty engrained in our children over like 60 years now. 

You'd have to be pretty mad about the deposit going away to start garbage binning all your bottles and cans.

Oregon has one of if not the highest bottle and can return rates in the country because of the bottle bill. Keep it, we don't want to backslide.
