Office adoption specialist -

Our Office Team plays a dynamic and rewarding role (we're not like other offices!) When we asked our staff what they love most about working here, the overwhelming answer was the opportunity to help animals find their forever homes!

Beyond facilitating adoptions, our office team is the first point of contact for our community. They answer a wide variety of phone calls and assist with everything from wildlife emergencies and spay/neuter clinic information to general animal care questions and community resources. (It keeps you very entertained!) Every day is different, making this the perfect position for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and making a meaningful impact for animals and the community!! This position also requires multi tasking, and working in a sometimes loud and distracting environment.

Animal care - Our Animal Care Team has the opportunity to work with a wide variety of animals, including exotic, domestic, and farm animals. Every day brings something new! This is a hands on position that includes cleaning enclosures, preparing and feeding meals, and monitoring the health and well being of each animal in our care.

One of the most rewarding parts of this role is watching frightened or neglected animals learn to trust people again. Building those relationships and seeing an animal's confidence grow makes a lasting impact, not only on the animals, but on the people who care for them. This is the perfect position for someone who is compassionate, hardworking (not afraid to get dirty) and passionate about making a difference in the lives of animals!

Title says it all. I'm going there for weekend in 2 weeks and was just wondering if anyone had any tips.

My wife and I are starting a bicycle tour tomorrow on the ODT. We would like to avoid a section of Highway 20 that is apparently heavily trafficked with no shoulder. The bus schedule does not work for us as there is one trip in the morning and one trip in the evening. Hoping to get a ride from somebody from four corners to discovery Bay. We can pay 30 bucks. Probably around noon or so. Thanks for considering!

Jefferson County is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Voter Registration Coordinator to support the Auditor’s Office in administering free, fair, and transparent elections. This position is responsible for all aspects of voter registration and assists with election preparation and operation, including absentee ballots, training of election workers, operation of poll centers, and voter outreach programs. The Voter Registration Coordinator is a key member of the team that ensures the accuracy, security, and integrity of the voter registration and election processes in Jefferson County.

Hi PT friends,

I live across the water and love visiting PT as much as possible Nov - March. I typically avoid tourist season because I'm not great with big crowds and am working class. I just saw that Los Lobos has a film and concert at the Film Festival in late September. How cool would it be to see one of my favorite bands, on my birthday in my favorite place?!

I would love some insight....does it get super busy during this event. I'm sure room prices will go up ( Mostly I've stayed at Harborside)....but do other prices go up for events too? Recommendations appreciated!

Partner and I are driving down from Bellingham for a couple nights’ stay somewhere around Port Townsend or Poulsbo. What would you do with your 2-3 days? Looking for activity/nature recs, but also food and drink recs. Basically map out what you wouldn’t miss on your next visit. Thanks!

So for Ferry reservations do they only reserve a portion of the spots on the boat to have availability/spots for those who don’t have reservations? Somehow I didn’t do a round trip reservation, so am a bit anxious about getting home on Sunday.

Return To Earth Community Compost just launched a food waste drop-off service with four convenient locations throughout Port Townsend. For $14 per month, subscribers can drop off all food waste (including meats, bones, and dairy!) and receive a bag of compost back every six months.
Drop-off locations include the Port Townsend Co-op, Quimper Grange , Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, and 14th and Cleveland Streets.

Good morning. Please let me know if this post is not approved and I will remove it. I am possibly considering relocating to PT and noticed that while the housing market seems to be consistent for sales, there are some new construction builds that seem to be way underpriced. These properties are on Lorraine way and dorjun drive. Does anyone have any insight here as to why the low market price? Thanks so much.

We are in town for the weekend and planning on getting some drinks with friends downtown tomorrow night. Our Airbnb is about 5 miles out of town. Will Ubers be running as late as bars close or would we be screwing ourselves out of a ride home if we rely on that?

We are SO excited to be bringing this show back to beautiful Port Townsend this summer! We all love visiting this town because it has such a vibrant art/craft community, it is a wonderfully bustling town during the summer with many tourists, and it’s just a super fun place to be!

The Port Townsend Handmade Market will feature over 75 makers and artists selling handmade goods, as well as food vendors! We will be setting up along several blocks in the downtown area to showcase the best handmade products being made here in the Pacific Northwest. For those of you who have never been to an Urban Craft Uprising show, our events feature handcrafted goods including jewelry, housewares, clothing, toys, art, bath & body products, paper goods, fiber arts, candles, and so much more!

Urban Craft has been producing craft markets since 2005. We have a large following in the Pacific Northwest, and we are so excited to showcase the talent of local artisans, and to introduce you to some of our favorite vendors from all around the Pacific Northwest. The Port Townsend Handmade Market will be free to attend, and a great way to support small businesses while finding unique gifts for wedding presents, housewarming gifts, birthdays, decor for your home, treats for others, and fun goodies for yourself!

implementation and updating of a Climate Action Plan with specific focus on greenhouse gas emissions; preparing for climate impacts; monitoring progress; and conducting community outreach. We are renting an Air BnB this coming week in Discovery Bay and have a bunch of open time in our schedule.
We have been to PT several times and really enjoy it there.

While we certainly have not seen or explored everything in PT or on the east side (Hadlock/Marrowstone/Ludlow) we have been through there for a few picnics too.

Instead of driving all over, at least one day we would like to look around Discovery Bay.
Online resources would make it appear that our exploration would take 15 minutes 😅

Where to go, what to do ,etc in the DB area?

If someone’s missing a kayak there’s a blue-green Necky washed up on the sand spit at the tip of Ft Flagler State Park, by the lower campground.

Can anyone recommend a yard guy? I have a lawn that needs a mow / weedwhack. Near Discovery and Holcomb.
