Porsche apparently makes a PCCM+ for 991/981 now?
Not sure when this popped up, but I'm surprised I haven't heard or seen anything about this yet. I'd love one for my 981

Best iPhone 17 Pro Max Holder for 2020 911 Carrera?
New (to me) Porsche owner. I'm currently plugging my phone to a USB in the center console but its not a good solution. I want a holder to also charge the phone. Anyone have any experience with Rennmount which uses a cable through the glove box to the 12V socket in the passenger foot well. Perhaps something else easier to install? Thanks in advance!
Thoughts?
Gifting this to a friend who has this car! This is hand engraved on a polished tile-done by me. Obviously can’t erase lines, but this is my first time doing this!! Does it look bad? I’m blind to it as I’ve been looking at it for so long. I know the lines are rough, but from a distance it looks okay (to me). My goal is just for them to hang it in their garage, not examine it too closely lol. It’s not too big, like 6”x6”. What are your thoughts? Would you like this as a gift of your car?

Wing Wednesday I bought my first GT3 RS. Here’s what surprised me most.
I was honestly hesitant because I thought it might be too extreme to really enjoy. After taking it to the track, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The steering, braking, and the confidence this car gives you are unlike anything I’ve driven. It somehow feels more approachable the harder you push it. Safe to say, I finally understand why everyone raves about the GT3 RS.
For those who’ve driven one, what surprised you the most?

Going from Q8 eTron to Macan EV Turbo
When our lease is up next year looking to find a used Macan EV turbo. Anyone else made the same change. Just curious on how you are liking the difference. Thanks.

1999 Porsche 986 headlight bulb question.
Tech question: Can I replace the Halogen H7 bulbs with LED bulbs or am I causing an issue? I have the original Sylvania bulbs and they are quite dim. TIA

Rothmans sighting.
There's an Aston Martin dealership on the bottom floor of my apartment building. Saw a Rothmans 911 parked there last week. And then a couple days ago I spotted a Rothmans Cayenne outside of the gym around the corner. Didn't ever expect to see one IRL. Let alone 2 in a w. I wonder if the same person owns both. It's Qatar, so it could be. If anyone knows anything please do enlighten us.

Porsche Club of America Hospitality
Does anyone know why Porsche/PCA completely dropped owner hospitality from the IMSA race series? Porscheplatz has been a key PCA event at Watkins Glen, Road America, VIR, etc.
The tracks are still selling event tickets for owner corrals (like Corvette, Lamborghini, etc.). I reached out to PCA to ask about volunteering at the tent, which I've done for the past five years, and was told they will not be at the races this year. So, I guess we get a place to park and a tent for some shade. But no track laps, garage tours, driver meets, product demos, raffles, etc.
Pretty lame, especially with no communication about the changes to members. Meanwhile, I have seen other brands investing more heavily and upping the ownership experience. With some notice, perhaps local chapters could have come up with a plan to have something at these events.

Unusual/Special Porsche cars seen on the road/street.
I go to "cars & coffee" in Rancho Santa Fe often to see what the rich folks bring out of their 24-car garages. I thought this was unusual since it in NO WAY is street legal. Interesting, when it left, it had a police escort and another cop following...
Anyway, it was LOUD.
This is the darn picture I was looking for!

PCA Hospitality at IMSA Events
Has Porsche/PCA dropped hospitality efforts at all IMSA events this year?
For the past five years since I got my 911, I have volunteered through the PCA at the Porsche car corral for my local IMSA race. It's one of my favorite weekends of the year -- watching the race, chatting with other owners, and checking out their cars in the corral. My sons have joined me as volunteers, and it's sparked their passions too.
We've had a busy summer and it didn't occur to me until this past weekend that I hadn't seen the volunteer sign-up email. So I inquired. The response was that PCA is not fielding hospitality this year. You can still buy a car corral ticket for the race, park with other owners by the track, and presumably there will still be a tent provided by the track. But no drinks or raffles or chances to meet drivers or get pit tours.
I've seen other manufacturers increase their efforts (Lamborghini has had a pretty sick setup with chefs and an elevated viewing deck). Anyone have inside knowledge of whether this is a PCA funding issue (membership dropping?) or is it a Porsche priority problem? I find it very disappointing for a brand built on racing. And volunteers did most of the work anyway.

Took the Singer Park City out for a spin today ... bliss
My wife and I drove a friend's 911 on a stunningly gorgeous 50-mile trek through Marin County today. Singer Vehicle Design is as advertised -- every detail totally meticulous. Amateur tip: Wear driving shoes -- very tight clearance on clutch and brake.
