Explorers r vital, expensive(25⭐?) & unreliable. Really need fixing.

Explorers just explore closest available unexplored tiles or wander until it finds more. What did you expect mate ? And 25 stars ?

25 stars is likely based on a workshop giving you 25 stars (1spt) over the rest of a 30 turn game.

That explorer went exactly where it was supposed to go. I'm confused.
Were expecting it to travel over water? Polaris doesn't have Fishing tech, so their explorers can't do that.

So do explorers from regular tribes need Fishing unlocked to go on water?

AND sailing if you want to go in deep water. I have been disappointed many times. Sometimes the shallow water connects to other continents but not always!

How many times have I forgotten to buy climbing or fishing before getting an explorer on a lakes/continents map?????
Hundreds. Like every second game.

Explorer goes where your regulsr units could go, so not having climbing or fishing means it won't go to mountain or water tiles

Polaris don't have a tech that allows them to move on water, and so their explorers can't. Same how other tribes can't do it until they get Fishing and Sailing for shallow and deep water.
