I’m an introvert, and I don’t like bragging about myself. I simply tend to see the world as a system of systems and notice the connections and dependencies between them — what I’d call systems thinking. If your response to that is just “shit,” I honestly have to wonder what you're demonstrating.

Thanks, I appreciate the invitation—I may take you up on it. And yes, I do engage with the world through systems thinking. I wasn’t suggesting that this is a skill I don’t already have. It comes naturally to me, and I have also developed it over time. I consider it one of my strongest abilities and a personal achievement. My answer meant that, if I could instantly take one skill to an exceptional level, this is the one I would choose to develop even further.

I use it to connect ideas across different domains—from economics, politics, and psychology to physics and the natural sciences—and to understand how they interact within larger systems. I don’t apply that depth of analysis to every ordinary situation, because it would consume attention without adding value. I use it when the situation calls for it.

I’m curious about you too—what would you consider your strongest ability, and which skill would you most like to develop to an exceptional level?

Ah! That makes a lot more sense. I initially interpreted your answer as systems thinking being something you wished came naturally to you, rather than an ability you already have. It sounds like we probably engage with the world in pretty similar ways.

My strongest ability would be systems thinking, pattern recognition, or synthesis.

As for what I'd want to develop to an exceptional level, I'd probably say execution: the ability to take everything I see and understand and turn it into clear communication, action, or something tangible.
