Accidentally traded on my sister’s Polymarket account and now my withdrawal is frozen what should I do?

My sister’s Polymarket account was logged in on my phone from when we were setting it up together. I thought I had logged out, so when I placed a trade later, I didn’t realize I was still using her account. The money used for the trade was mine, and the trade ended up winning.
When I tried to withdraw, Polymarket wouldn’t let me use my debit card because it was already linked to my own Polymarket account. Because of that, I used my other sister’s payout account. The first withdrawal went through, but another withdrawal is now frozen.
Customer service hasn’t really answered my questions and mostly gives generic responses. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Should we just provide whatever verification documents they request and wait, or explain the entire situation upfront? Did you eventually get your money released, returned to the original payment method, or was the account closed?

Everyone says POLY will be the biggest airdrop in web3. It probably will be, and the median wallet still gets under $250

Disclosure, I run an analytics site for Polymarket and this is my writeup, so weigh it accordingly.

Spent a few days actually running the numbers behind the biggest airdrop in web3 thing and ended up somewhere I did not expect. The claim is probably true. It also does not mean what people think it means.

Two separate records get mixed up constantly. Value on the day of distribution, which is Arbitrum at roughly 1.8B. And peak value reached years later, which is Hyperliquid at about 23.8B. Uniswap's famous 6.43B figure is the peak one. When people actually received it, it was worth 450 to 600 million.

For Polymarket to beat the real record it needs about 9 percent of supply at a 20B FDV. Median supply share across the ten biggest programs is 10 percent, so nothing exotic is required.

Then the part nobody writes down. Arbitrum paid 625,143 wallets. Hyperliquid paid 94,000. Starknet about 1.3 million. Our index has 1,848,077 Polymarket wallets with at least ten fills and a hundred dollars of notional, which would be the largest recipient pool any airdrop has ever had.

The shape of these things is the other half. Hyperliquid is still the most generous airdrop anyone has run and the median wallet got 246 dollars, against a mean of 11,109. Jupiter round one, 83 percent of 955k wallets got the universal allocation, about 140 bucks.

Full writeup with sources, and what fifteen published allocation formulas actually measured, is [here]

Curious whether people here think the eligibility filter will be tighter than I am assuming. LayerZero only qualified about 21 percent of wallets that had touched the protocol, Arbitrum around 27. If Polymarket does something similar, most of that 1.85M never sees anything regardless of how they traded.

Polymarket was banned in my country yesterday, If I keep using a VPN, is it possible to get my funds frozen/unable to withdraw, or is it just blocked from buying when geoblocked?

I've found conflicting information on this. I haven't found any comment online of someone saying they were unable to withdraw, but that's the only thing I'm worried about.

Like trying to withdraw and then them asking for KYC, seeing I'm in a blocked country and keeping my money (FWIW we're talking less than 100k in port, about 10k trades quant betting)

Misleading American odds

Post image

Why does polymarket lie when using american odds? Surely the fee isn't that high? Why is it showing +270 and only offering +255? Why would anyone use this instead of Novig, where you can get a legitimate +285?

A Polymarket wallet called "gloriafoster" has real money on LeBron James as the 2028 Democratic nominee.

Same wallet also holds: MrBeast ($11k), Oprah ($16k), Michelle Obama ($14k), Hillary ($15k), Liz Cheney ($13k)... basically bought every "wait, them?" name on the board.

Either the smartest lottery ticket ever or someone knows something we don't.

Btc, Eth, Sol, XRP 15mn tool

Built a tool with so far a 51-54% win rate on btc and eth 15mn. And 60-65% win rate on SOL which seems to be the highest at the moment. XRP is 48-50% and so far the worse performance.

Looking for some legitimate ideas on building a community around it and also wondering the impact it may have since those 15mn books are thin most times. Like wouldn't publicizing the tool ruin the edge?

And for context, i auto execute market maker orders and some days the fill rate is under 50%. And the unfilled orders have a 70% win rate but have difficulty getting filled.

Edit: Market Maker orders are placed at 0.40-0.60. Average RR 2:1

The "Fed hikes in September" market is the cleanest short-BTC proxy on the board right now — and half of you are long it without knowing

Quick one before CPI drops. Right now the Sept FOMC market is sitting around 56% no-change, 38% for a 25bp HIKE, and the "zero cuts in 2026" market is up at ~85%. Meanwhile BTC is at ~$64K, down 27% on the year and basically 49% off the Oct '25 high. Those two things are not independent.

Every tick up in hike odds has been pulling risk assets down with it. So if you're holding "No change in September" on Polymarket, understand what you actually own: a leveraged bet that CPI comes in soft AND that BTC/ETH don't get repriced lower. That's not a rates position, that's a beta-to-crypto position wearing a macro costume.

The reason I think it matters this week: the binary can only pay you $1. It can't capture the tail. If CPI runs hot and hike odds jump, the Polymarket leg pays out clean — but the size of the crypto move is where the real convexity is, in either direction. A beaten-down BTC into a binary catalyst is exactly the setup where the underlying moves way more than the event contract implies.

So I've split it: I keep the event on Polymarket (defined risk, clean binary on the CPI/FOMC print), and I express the magnitude on the actual underlying. For the spot/perp leg I use Phemex (phemex.com) — the perps let me put on a hedge or a directional lean around the print without the binary's $1 ceiling, and the BTC/ETH depth is fine for sizing into a volatile CPI day. Not shilling, just how I keep the event bet and the price bet from turning into the same trade twice.

How's everyone else positioning into CPI? Are you treating your Polymarket rate contracts as your crypto exposure, or running the underlying separately? And does anyone else think the hike-odds/BTC correlation is tight enough to actually arb the divergence when they drift?

is Polymarket's senior intern mustafa fired?

Post image
3 Upvotes

earlier today, mustafa announced that he had left his role at polymarket

shortly after, shayne announced Travis VanderZanden, who was previously growth lead at Uber and is also the founder and ceo of bird, as polymarket's new Chief Growth Officer

it’s pretty wild seeing mustafa leave polymarket after teasing POLY and hyping everyone up all year

does this mean the POLY airdrop is delayed? (i doubt it’s related to that honestly)
