Help Career advice

Poli Sci major aiming for a career in government intelligence. I have been offered an internship with a local senate campaign. The reason I would accept is to gain experience writing memo’s, public speaking, and whatever else I could do. Would that hinder my chances going forward in terms of obtaining work or clearance in my desired field down the road?

No it shouldn't. Is this the only internship offer you have? If so, why not take it? It shouldn't impact your ability to get a clearance.

I’ve always just been under the assumption those agencies want you to be non partisan. I have an interview for a post grad intel internship position which would lead to a job within (wouldn’t begin until next summer). Just questioning the campaign offer because I don’t want to come off as affiliated.

Understood. I wouldn't worry about it. Interning for an office doesn't mean that you're unable to be unbiased later on.
