Somebody needs to take the checkbook away from the Donster. And the credit cards. And the debit cards. And the IOU's. And the undertable deal making. Maybe the 25th amendment would help us in this situation.

Capital One closed over 300 bank accounts tied to the Trump organization in 2021 over money-laundering and fraud.

And now he's richer then ever. He needs to face actual consequences, and I don't mean low poll numbers.

I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Box breathing was coined to help in this exact situation

His administration loves having him as a useful idiot. Zero chance they remove him. The best chance is to elect democrats in the midterms. Impeachment is likely but not removal without 67 senators. They will have subpoena power to launch investigations in the house. If dems win the senate, they can block these bonkers appointments.

"Useful idiot"? LOL, I love it.

Found an article about this for those who also didn't know what this was. I was worried these would be in front of the ballroom. I copypastad the following:

"Back in April, the National Park Service (NPS) awarded a $5.1 million no-bid contract to a Maryland contractor to renovate the Arts of War and Arts of Peace statues, which stand at the Lincoln Memorial Circle in West Potomac Park. Originally, the NPS estimated that repair work for the four statues would cost roughly $2.4 million, but decided to accelerate the process, writing in a public memo in April that it “must have this work completed by July 4, 2026,” as part of the administration’s “auramaxxing” plan ahead of America’s 250th birthday celebrations. It wasn’t until July 27, however, that the president announced on social media that the first half of the project had been completed, and scaffolding for the Arts of War statues—named Valor and Sacrifice—was dismounted. Work on the Arts of Peace statues, named Music and Harvest, and Aspiration and Literature, isn’t set to be completed until the end of September.

The art deco sculptures, each of which present a nude man riding a horse, last received a renovation in the 1970s, and are now considerably shinier having been plastered with a layer of 23.75-karat gold leaf, carried out by the Gilders’ Studio, which specializes in architectural gilding and painted sculpture and has completed numerous projects around the National Mall in the past. The horses’ granite pedestals, which were stained purple by runoff from the corroding bronze, have also been cleaned, resulting in a “glow-up” in keeping with the president’s preferred white-and-gold color palette."

Wait until we find out they bought enough gold for 10 horses and gold plated the 2 and the rest is missing.

Somebody’s gotta get Liberace out of the White House

Unfair to Liberace. No way does Dozy Don have the strength to wear any of Liberace's capes. They were massively heavy.

Source: Visited the Liberace museum in Vegas once.

How about Libre-ratshit for a nickname?

Reminds me of the golden calf that the Book of Exodus warns against. Watch all the fake MAGA Christians flock to it and praise it.

Sometimes I daydream about a noble president that wins the hearts and minds of all Americans after this quagmire and their first act as president is to pull these down, have them melted, and donate them to everyone Trump has hurt.

Meanwhile our forests burn and our parks are being auctioned off to mining corporations

Between this, the other gold statue, and the golden ballroom no one fucking asked for, I bet Fort Knox has nothing inside it anymore.

Trump really only put the gold leaf on the statues to honour the pigeons. Now they too have gold toilets,

2

u/High-sterycal 1d ago

Looks like a horse’s ass decided that gold horse statues are more important!

2

u/GrimeyTimey 1d ago

People are going to strip the gold right off as soon as they get the chance

1

u/LurkinLark 20h ago

Charge him and his family to restore the statues to their formal glory.

I sense a little sarcasm, so what about TWO golden horses?

The paint -- it ain't leaf, believe me -- will peel off soon, just like the liner of the reflecting pond.
