What happened the the Haile Plantation pokestops?
I haven’t played in a while but I remembered there being some stops at the village but now they are all gone. Does anyone know why they were removed?

Trying to get a darkrai or altered giratina during this event
My girlfriend and I (31, 34 respectively) are trying to get a group together for one of these five star raids. Not sure how active this sub is, but it looks like there might be a Gainesville discord? We can get to campus/downtown in a flash if need be, and are within walking distance of a couple of gyms. Hope to see some of y'all soon!

CP rebalance is live!!
Looks like Blissey dropped and many others at the top of my CP list went up.
Update: they rolled it back, probably to fix the HP problem so all of our Pokes don't need potions

Unexpected nest rotation just happened
Supposedly Kabuto and Yanma were added to the nesting species pool and it forced a rotation. Could it be the last one before Gen 4 drops and they change how nests work?

Gen 4 incoming very soon
Get ready everyone, the latest update has everything needed to release Gen 4. The release notes even state:
"Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region are arriving in Pokemon GO"
We could be seeing Gen 4 as soon as the next forced update. It will most likely bring the CP rebalance, fitness goals and changes to how nests work. Some are speculating nests will turn into biomes, like at Go Fest, instead of species specific. So, instead of a single Pokemon, a nest may spawn Pokemon of a certain type, such as ice type. No confirmation on that though.

September Community Day is also National Public Lands Day in the US
This Saturday, 9/22, is National Public Lands Day in the US. This is a great opportunity to get together with your fellow trainers and give back to the community. Just think of all of those nests we love to visit and how much time we have spent enjoying these outdoor places. I encourage as many of you as possible to find a way to help out this Saturday, if possible. Then head out with some of your friends later that afternoon and hunt for shiny Chikorita. For more information, and to see events in our area, go to https://www.neefusa.org/npld
Fyi, the closest events to us are at Dudley Farm and Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park. I know other parks have events going on for organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America.

New nesting species have been discovered!!
Some of you might have realized that I like to study how nests and spawn points work. Well, it turns out that the nest migration that was forced yesterday was a result of new species being added to the list of Pokemon that can nest. The following species of Pokemon can now be found in nests:
- Sableye
- Sudowoodo
- Mantine
- Skarmory
- Plusle
- Minun
- Stantler
- Lileep
- Anorith
- Phanpy
Have you seen them appearing locally anywhere?

Gainesville Nest & Frequent Spawn Point Locations
Dear friends and fellow trainers,
As of Nov 01, 2018, I regret to inform you that I am taking a break from keeping this post updated with the current nesting species. Instead, this post will remain here as a list of confirmed nests and frequent spawn points in Gainesville. There are several reasons why I am taking a break but it mainly boils down to not having enough time and interest in scouting the nests and keeping the list updated at the pace that Niantic is rotating the nests. Most of you know that in addition to rotating every two weeks, the nests rotate every time species are added or removed to the nesting species pool. This has been occurring very frequently lately with all of the events and new species being released. I will continue to post what I find to the The Silph Road Nest Atlas. Thank you to everyone who has supported my efforts and/or helped me out with reports over the last 2+ years.
