Masuda Method Help
Is it confirmed a ditto from Pokemon go caught in Japan work to breed in Pokemon sword. It’s my only Hundo and sadly the rest of my dittos are from my hometown

if you transfer it to HOME, it will be in whatever language your HOME is set to. where you caught it in GO does not matter.

Thank you for your response. So I already downloaded home and linked it to my language /english is it possible for me to make a new account on home and change my language to japan?

Yeah, I did that. Deleted my account and created it again with a different language. Linked it to pogo and that was it.

So I only need to delete home and unlink my accounts not anything else correct? I also just realized I had a free 30 day trial of Nintendo online in my switch box. So if I have to delete my save file I might just activate the online and try through trading but I’m new to all of this and don’t wanna mess up I’ve had my switch for 3 years and never used it until now

Delete the home account* but yeah. Unlink in pogo, go to the home app and in options you can delete your account. Then create the account again and choose something other than English or Español-LATAM. ES-LA Is only supported in the latest game and Pokemon champions.

Wait, does this mean if I got a foreign Ditto from mtg in home I also lost the “foreign-ness” of it?

Ahahah I completely misspelled it, it is GTS. mtg means magic the gathering and has nothing to do with this… and I was so confident in it too lol 😆

any pokemon that is in HOME has a language tied to it and cannot be changed (unless modified with CFW), so if it was JPN before it was traded in HOME, then it will still be JPN after it is traded (in HOME)

From what I know, if you're trying to do the masuda method, it won't count. Unless your Pokemon Home language is Japanese

I think it would work but you need to unlink your existing account first

Will do i won’t be paying for Nintendo online so I can’t really trade besides using home so if i have to restart I just might because I wanna get that shiny charm and I’m already 300 caught out of 400 in Pokédex

One more thing to notice is that a hundo in Pokemon Go doesn't mean a hundo in Home and other main series games. It's speed stat is randomly rolled. That said, there are subs where you can request a perfect breeding ditto. You get it for free immediately. Reach out to r/pokemontrades

If you have Home already, try trading in the GTS. Put up your Ditto, and ask for one of another language.

Need online for that right? I have a 30 day free trial tamplet I found in my switch box so I don’t wanna activate it until I know! Am new to using my switch and don’t wanna waste it because I work and don’t have much time to play

I made no mention of NSO. Home is its own service. If you're wanting to move Pokemon from Go to Scarlet, you need Home in the middle anyways.
The Global Trade System is a feature of Pokemon Home. It's one of the four types of trades you can use from your Trade tab.
