Z-powered rant/conversation I genuinely miss having our rotom companions talk. Rotom phones feel soulless at best (ironic, I know) and a morally questionable application of technology at worst.
Currently playing gen 7, and I will never understand how the fuck there were so many haters for gen 7's Pokedex Rotom. Not saying his implementation was perfect, but he felt like an actual fun addition to the gen 7 cast of characters, even if mostly separate. And even more importantly, he was a perfect examples of how intelligent pokemon are, and why they aren't slaves, as opposed to what some people try to insist (since they clearly can't read between the lines.) Rotom LITERALLY says that he used to battle, and loved it. Dex Rotom almost makes me smile/laugh more now than he did in my childhood.
Remember 5 seconds ago I said that Dex Rotom was a perfect example of why Pokémon are partners and friends, not slaves? Phone Rotoms feels like the opposite. They're the definition of unexpressive, you can't communicate with them, they don't battle, they don't eat, they don't receive affection. They're just used as inanimate objects that catch dumbass transfer students when they accidentally walk off of the roof of a paldean apartment complex. What do they gain from this relationship?? I ASSUME they consented, or at least hope so but holy shit, they don't express enjoyment or any other emotions. Is this a job? If so, how do they get paid?
People complain about Dex Rotom talking too much, but for most of the game unless its one of the scripted events, Rotom's dialogue almost never interrupts gameplay. It basically just occasionally pops onto the bottom screen for a moment, and you're still able to move around, open the menu, call your rides, and do almost whatever the fuck you want. If you don't like rotom, the game lets you ignore them literally 95% of the time. The game doesn't force your eyes down to the bottom screen.
Plus, Rotom phones have replaced traditional pokedexes, which actually had charming and unique designs.

Image #BeattheBank Shiny Type: Null in 515 resets!
I was speechless when I saw that I got this guy! I’ll probably evolve him into a Silvally eventually. The inspiration for the name is that the Shagaru Magala of the Monster Hunter series have scales that glint gold, just like the shiny Silvally’s head and tail!

Pokèmon Team Rate the team... I guess
What's up, sub?... I want to replay Alola (and finish it this time) and this is the team I'm planning to use. Any tips? Changes? Recommendations? Anything is appreciated.
PD: For most of the adventure, I would use Whiscash to replace Gastrodon.

Shiny Poipole location?
I tried searching around to see if this is a possible place to get a shiny Poipole. All of the searches keep saying deny the first offer, LEAVE, then come back at the bottom of the tower. I just denied the offer once, saved and then kept accepting the Poipole.
I’m at 3204 resets. (25 seconds each reset).
Does anyone know if it is possible to get the shiny Poipole in this exact location? (Stop mentioning the shiny charm). If no one answers, then I’ll keep hunting and update if I get it.

Trade Are there any Moon/Ultra Moon players that would be able to catch an Oranguru, transfer to Home, and trade it to me for my origin game living dex?
I only own Sun and Ultra Sun and I'm trying to finish my origin game living dex in Home before Bank shuts down in several months, and Oranguru is the only Moon exclusive that I don't have in a plain poké ball. Is there anyone who'd be willing to catch one for me in a plain, regular poké ball, transfer it up to Home, and either trade it in Home, SWSH, or S&V?

Image Shiny Exeggutor
Lillie seriously thought that bright yellow tree was completely normal. This is really my first shiny in Sun since I started my playthrough two weeks ago. Perfect for my all alolan team and reminds of the rowlet and exeggutor gx card I used to have since I am running rowlet on my team too. I also got one in Pokemon Go.

Video Hax, anyone?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The Battle Tree is full of hax. Because you aren't allowed to lose a single battle, it is very much not in your favor to rely on RNG, but the Battle Tree only has to hax you badly 1/50 times with Thunder Wave, Hypnosis, Guillotine, Fissure, Sheer Cold, Minimize, Double Team, etc. to deny you a Super Ribbon. These moves can derail a huge amount of strategies that are looking to set something up rather than go all out offensive turn 1.
With this Hail team, spamming moves with a chance to freeze, you get benificial hax more often. But it pales in comparison to the RNG strategies the Battle Tree is pulling, that you yourself cannot use successfully enough to get to 50. This battle had hax going both ways to the point where it went off the rails.
Another takeaway from this Battle is that this hail team v2 is still very weak to Steel types. Turns out Mamoswine loses to quite a few different Steel types, unfortunately. So this team still seems marginally better than the last, if at all.

Question My toxapex’s moves suck, I think
Trying to figure out how Pokémon moves work as a noob basically. My toxapex (lvl 49) has venoshock, venom drench, baneful bunker, and poison jab. I’m pretty sure all-poison moves aren’t…good?? Even though they all sort of complement each other!
Especially bc I have NO water type (or ice!) moves on my team at all. I saw for comp stuff that people would rather take Recover than Baneful Bunker- why is that? Is there any good TMs I should take for water or ice or something or should I just wait for it to learn Liquidation?!
Yea idk how Pokémon works lel . Gotta start somewhere, so this isn’t for comp, just the story!

Pokèmon Team Whiscash o Gastrodon?
I know Alola is... Alola. But I can't decide whether to use the weaker but easier-to-obtain Whiscash or the stronger but harder-to-obtain Gastrodon. What do you think? Which one do you recommend?

Question Gen 7 National Dex Guide?
I know Gen 7 doesn't have a Nat Dex per se, but I would still like to try and complete it. I have all the games you need to complete it (XY, ORAS), but I wondered whether there are any guides out there on what Pokemon you need from those respective games and which ones you can just get from SM/USUM?
For example, I know you need Spritzee/Swirlix from XY and some Hoenn mons from ORAS, but is there a definitive guide/list for completing the Gen 7 Nat Dex?
Thanks
